This montage video from the Dothan Eagle's Jay Hare captures the high energy of Bucky Covington and his band as they performed at the Dothan Peanut Festival earlier this year. (Our previous post features the first of what will be many festival announcements for the coming year...bookmark Bucky's official site and Buckytown USA to keep up with Bucky's 2010 tour dates.)
The KSON Carols by Candlelight concerts begin in just a few short hours in Escondido, CA. Bucky Covington, LeAnn Rimes, the Little River Band, Jordan Pruitt, Buck Howdy and Beat Boy perform this evening and tomorrow night at the California Center for the Arts (340 N. Escondido Blvd) to benefit the Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. (The KSON events page mentioned a special offer for tonight's show earlier this week: Just call the box office at 800-98-TICKET and mention KSON to get your 2 for 1 tickets." Not sure if that's still going on, but it's definitely worth giving them a ring.) Enjoy the evening!
Two more benefit shows round out Bucky and his band's busy mid-December. Bring a canned good for the local food bank, and rock with Bucky and company at the WRNS Holiday Ho-Ho-Ho Down on Tuesday, December 15th. It's happening at the Tarheel Opry House in Jacksonville, NC, and it should be a blast!
Bucky Covington rocked the house at Rocketown in Nashville during his fan club party; photo courtesy of our good friend AmaTexMom of BuckyFanPics. Click the image to see her gallery from that exciting evening, and check out Bucky's concert calendar at his MySpace. And on Friday, December 18th at 9 pm, Bucky, Love and Theft, David Nail and Mallary Hope are the artists at the WQMX Songwriters Showcase at the Dusty Armadillo (3147 State Route 44) in Rootstown, OH. It's free--just bring along a new toy ($15 value) for the CSB Toy Room.
The very kind AmaTexMom shared some news about the USO Calendar, which features Bucky on the February page: she notes that when she emailed the USO to compliment them on the calendar, they sent along a few extras for friends! You can make a donation to the USO here--be sure to ask about the calendar, and watch for it as a charity auction item here and there, too.
Finally, Bucky's bright new single, Gotta Be Somebody", is rumored to be handling the "winter break" on the charts (more about that here) very well. How well? We won't know for sure until the charts come out late Monday night, but we do know for sure that every single request, eQuest, video vote is vital this week. (Yep, there's a nag...um, some encouragement on the way.) Show Bucky some holiday love at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT's Pure 12-Pack, and call up your local country station, too. By the way, his hot new digital EP, Live From Rockingham (available at Amazon and iTunes) makes a very cool gift--ahem.
Lunchtime update: Bucky's rockin' video for "Gotta be Somebody" moved up to #15 on the GAC Top 20 Country Countdown this week--read about it at GACtv.com. Congrats to Bucky and company! Take care out there, stay warm and have a great Friday--Winnie
Great video! I love "Back When We Were Gods". I'll always believe that it should have been released as a single and would have been a hit.
ReplyDeleteHi, Anon--yep, love that one, "Hometown" and "Bible and the Belt", too. All three would have done well on the radio, methinks!
