Quick Tuesday news: Bucky Covington's hot Billboard news, and newly-posted summer memories...

Bucky Covington sings "I'll Walk" during his hometown concert in Rockingham, NC; thanks again to the talented Judy Lang for the photo. (Click the image to see Bucky's concert schedule at his official site.)

Tuesday's biggest news came in very late on Monday night: Bucky Covington's new single, "Gotta Be Somebody", has debuted at #58 with a bullet on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Veteran country chartwatchers know that this is the start of a long (but fun) campaign--and every milestone is important. (The next one, by the way, is Top 50. How fast can we get there? A well-timed request-line call to our favorite local country stations might help speed things along...)

In the meantime, we've got some rockin' live shows to look forward to: after tomorrow's sold-out WBEE "Guitars & Stars" benefit concert in Rochester, NY, Bucky and the band head to Biloxi for an evening with Darryl Worley at the IP Casino Resort and Spa on Saturday night. There are still plenty of chances to catch Bucky live this fall and winter--check out his MySpace calendar, Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and Bucky's official tour page for all the dates and locations, and stay tuned for new additions and news on shows in 2010...

Bucky Covington, Ducky Medlock and Jeff Brown rocked the crowd in Rockingham; another great photo by Judy Lang. Thanks so much!

Speaking of touring, how about a few newly-posted photo and video blasts from the past? This excellent Flickr photoset from this summer's KJJY Big Country Bash popped up recently--Rocky Covington's fans will get a special kick out of these shots. (Kudos to Three Flowers Photography for sharing these!) Over at YouTube, emtlucybug graciously uploaded two short but sweet clips from Bucky's West Virginia State Fair show--here's part of "I'll Walk" and a fun bonus. And from way, way back, how about some vintage concert shots from 2007? These were taken during Bucky's first summer tour in support of his then brand-new album--huge thanks to the kind concertgoer who shared these.

Check out Pure 12 Pack on CMT.com. See show times, episodes and vote on your favorite videos.Last but definitely not least--vote for Bucky, y'all! His video is on the CMT Pure 12-Pack ballot, and it's part of their new video survey, too. (Your local country station might have a new-music survey on their website--go look!) More very soon...
