Quick Friday news: Bucky Covington in West Virginia tonight and more...

Sawyer Brown's Mark Miller and Bucky Covington wave to the hometown audience at Bucky's show in Rockingham, NC last week. (Mark Miller produced both of Bucky's albums; the second, I'm Alright, is due in stores in the spring of 2010.) Many thanks to the very kind Jackie Blue for the beautiful photo!

Tonight's the night in St. Albans, WV--Bucky Covington and his excellent band resume their tour with a rare and exciting smaller-venue show at at Tomahawks (5830 MacCorkle Ave, 304-201-2070). The music gets going at about 8 pm, and tickets are $30. Hope you can be there--this should be a hot one!

Next up: tomorrow's Mountain State Forest Festival concert in Elkins, WV (snag a last-minute ticket here), Icabod's in Fort Myers, FL on 10/9 (this is a free benefit show, and Bucky's labelmate Sarah Buxton also graces the bill) and the Deerfield Township Harvest Fest in Rosehayn, NJ on 10/11. Bucky's MySpace calendar, Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and Bucky's official tour page have all the concert news you'll need to add some rockin' country fun to your fall...

Steve Cook, Bucky Covington and Ducky Medlock rocked the crowd in Rockingham last week--thanks again to our talented friend Judy Lang for the great shot.

On the radio, Bucky's new one, "Gotta Be Somebody", can be heard on even more stations today. The legendary KUZZ in Bakersfield (who sponsored a fantastic show by Bucky in July; photos here) played it this morning, and your station may be next. Stay tuned and hang on tight...something tells me we're in for a fun ride with this single...

Finally, a note about that American Idol Rewind episode featuring the fifth-season Greensboro audtions--it airs tomorrow in most areas (check local TV listings for time and channel), and the TV Guide Channel will rerun it next week. Keep an eye out for a certain tall blond country singer! More soon--Winnie
