Bucky and his band have also scheduled their first concert of the new year, and it's a rockin' time for a good cause! He'll headline the LHS Country Showdown at Liberal High School in Liberal, KS on Saturday, 1/23/2010; tickets are $20, and a presale for local students takes place on 12/5. The general public can buy tickets on and after 12/6 at Crazy House in Garden City, and the proceeds will benefit the LHS booster club. This is a truly unusual opportunity for Bucky's young fans in the area to get right up close and benefit their community, too. Have fun! Steve Cook, Bucky Covington and Ducky Medlock enjoying the hometown energy in Rockingham; thanks again to Judy Lang for this one.Bucky's new single "Gotta Be Somebody" [listen to it at WBEE] is still causing a sweet pre-release commotion; it logged a record number of plays on Friday (23 or so), and new stations from KFGY in Santa Rosa, CA to WOGK in Ocala, FL are hopping on board. (Our friend WisconsinBuckyFan heard Bucky's new one in Michigan on Cat Country 95.1 WLST; we're hoping that means he'll be rockin' more Great Lakes stations soon.) A recent update at Music Row magazine mentioned that Bucky's music video for "Gotta Be Somebody" should be making its debut online and on TV "within the next month", and we'll definitely be on the lookout for a firm date.
We'll close with advance notice of a conference call from Bucky's show at the Deerfield Township Harvest Fest in Rosehayn, NJ tomorrow--the very gracious Hildi will be sponsoring the call on Sunday night, and you'll find all the info you need at Bucky's official fan club boards.
