Summer memories: Bucky Covington and Jeff Cease rocked the crowd at the KJJY Big Country Bash earlier this year. Thanks to Janie for the terrific photo! Click the image to see Bucky's fall and winter concert list at his official site.
How often do we have two "it's official" announcements on the same day? Thanks again to the anonymous commenter who graciously let us all know that Bucky Covington's official MySpace has been updated--the top banner now reads In Stores Spring 2010, and a small photo of the CD cover is incorporated into the artwork. (If you've been using the countdown widget on your site, blog or MySpace, it's safe to expect a change there soon, too...)
Now that we know that we have quite a bit longer to wait (and soon, a brand new single to celebrate), what's our next move? Supporting Bucky at our local country stations is always a good thing--we're not chasing a chart position at the moment, but the pleasure of hearing "I Want My Life Back" on the radio is its own reward. And as we mentioned earlier, Bucky's upcoming single, "Gotta Be Somebody" [hear a snippet at KMPS] , might be gracing your speakers courtesy of your local "test track" or "pick or pitch" challenges and songfights before its official September 28th release to radio.
In the meantime, keep your local station's request line numbers handy, and if your station's running a syndicated show tonight, call up your host or hostess and ask for Bucky:
