Monday news: Bucky Covington in Wooster, October ticket reminders, York photos and more...

This photo's definitely in the running for "most requested of 2009" status! Here's Bucky Covington (and his hat) on stage in Pleasanton, CA, as captured by our very talented friend Minnie. Thanks again to Minnie for the photo, and to a kind reader for writing.

Buckytown USA
started off the week in fine style, as always--if you haven't yet visited Fran and Renee's beautiful site, check it out now for classic shots from Bucky Covington's debut and his upcoming CMT Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader appearance, chart and concert news, a colorful banner by Bucky Wild and more. See you there!

Bucky and his band are as busy as ever--tonight, they'll do two shows at the Wayne County Fair in Wooster, OH, followed by a return West for the Santa Cruz County Fair in Monterey, CA on Wednesday, 9/16, a Utah State Fair on Thursday, 8/17, and the big Y108 Thrillbilly Bash in Pittsburgh, PA 0n Saturday, 8/19. (We'll post those handy links to Bucky's MySpace calendar, Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and Bucky's official tour page right here. There's nothing like a hot Bucky Covington live show to fire up your fall!)

Another request fulfilled: thanks to the Rocky Covington fan who wrote in to ask for--you guessed it--a hat photo. Kudos to Judy Lang for graciously sharing this shot!

Speaking of fall shows, we had a new October concert date confirmed over the weekend. Bucky's fans in the Columbus, Ohio area are in for a treat on October 16th, when he'll play during the Quarter Horse Congress at the Ohio Expo Center. Tickets for the concert ($20, all general admission) are on sale now at Ticketmaster. Bucky's official Twitter account sent out a reminder about his October 21st WYRK Acoustic Concert with Justin Moore and Chris Young at the UB Center for the Arts in Buffalo, NY; tickets ($20) are available at the Center for the Arts ticket office, all Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Finally, we'll top off the October reminders with a show for a good cause: see and hear Bucky after the Kroger On Track for the Cure 250 in Memphis, TN on October 24. More info and tickets are available now at 1-866-40-SPEED and online at MemphisMotorsportsPark.com.

On the charts, we've got a sweet shot at a rally, as Fran pointed out so beautifully at Buckytown USA. "I Want My Life Back", Bucky's current single, got a weekend boost to #33 on the Mediabase charts today, and each and every request from us helps keep Bucky's radio profile sky-high. (So if you love hearing him on your speakers, give in a shout out on the phone lines!)

Jeff Cease and Bucky Covington (in hats!) at the Santa Barbara County Fair earlier this summer; thanks to a very kind anonymous photographer for sharing this one.

Finally, we'll post a repeat link and a requested repeat video, too. Yesterday evening's review of Bucky Covington's York Fair show at the York Dispatch is a stunning visual delight, complete with a set list. (If only every newspaper covered the concerts so splendidly!) And by very special request, here's another look at Lisa Marie's fine "Gotta Be Somebody" video from Bucky's show at Joe's Bar in Chicago last week. For some fun still photos from that night, be sure to check out US99's gallery. See you soon!
