Tuesday news: Bucky Covington's Top 30 days continue, Country Weekly reminder and more...

The biggest news of the day for Bucky Covington fans is what appears to be a much-desired breakup of that traffic jam on the Mediabase charts--his current single, "I Want My Life Back", is once again number #29 with a very slender bullet at post time, and we're eager to see it go higher still, as soon and as speedily as possible.

What's in it for us? Well, for one thing, that rumor of a possible official music video is a strong incentive to pick up the phone and hit up the request line. Those who've seen Bucky's previous videos for "A Different World" and "It's Good to Be Us" know how engaging he can be on the TV screen--and if you haven't seen them, click those links and check them out! A video would make a huge impact right now, with Bucky's crucial sophomore album due in a little less than two months. (That's happening on October 13th...mark your calendars.) With the fun facts we do have, including some on-location filming in Bucky's hometown of Rockingham in the works as mentioned in this interview, it's easy to get excited about video #3! So...call, y'all! We can show Bucky some love on our local request lines, and send our good friend Larry K at WKML a "Top 5 at 6" email at country@wkml.com, too.

In the meantime, we've got some fun stuff from past shows to enjoy. Last weekend's WSLC Star B-Q in Salem got the video montage treatment yesterday afternoon from the station's excellent videographers--you can see it at YouTube, or check out this post. So.Salem has a Flickr slideshow from the same day, including shots of the fans and the food as well as a couple of Bucky on stage. The very kind browniebratz did an impromptu set of videos that captured nearly all of July's Merced County Fair concert--the series starts here.

Tomorrow, hear Bucky and his rockin' band opening for Darius Rucker at the State Fair of West Virginia. You can still buy tickets online at StarTickets ($33 track, $23 grandstand seating), and children 3 and under are free. On Friday, 8/21, they'll headline the WFMS Free Stage at the Indiana State Fair; full details here.

Country Weekly's "Which new album are you most looking forward to?" Cyber Poll is still in progress as of this morning--feel free to use that "other" option and cast a write-in vote for Bucky Covington's second album! Our poll wrapped up yesterday with a landslide vote for "hoodie" (80%) as the new item Buckymania readers would most like to see added to Bucky's official online shop. "Long sleeved T shirt" came in second at 23%, nearly tied with "bandana or scarf" at 20%. Bringing up the rear were "belt buckle" (10%) and "other" (8%). Thanks for voting! Look for a new poll in the corner soon...

Coming up later today--a Bucky Covington fan's guide to the hottest new way to support our favorite rising country singer online. Stay tuned and enjoy your Tuesday!--Winnie
