Quick Thursday news: Bucky Covington's big autumn, chart check and more...

Bucky Covington smiles at the crowd during his Fire Jam show in Kansas; thanks to our talented friend Judy Lang for the photo. Click the image to see when Bucky's tour bus is headed your way...

First things first--remember that Mediabase rollercoaster ride we talked about in yesterday's post? It's still going on! Bucky Covington's "I Want My Life Back" is once again #29 with a bullet, and we're working on getting it on even higher ground this week, with some extra request-line oomph at our local country stations. (Many thanks to all who participated in All-Request Wednesday, by the way--that was fun...)

Bucky and his band are enjoying a busy late summer/early autumn on tour, and that means you and I can enjoy some good times, too. The live show is a high-energy blast! Catch Bucky and company rockin' the WFMS Free Stage at the Indiana State Fair tomorrow at 6:30 pm local time, and listen to JD Cannon Friday as he broadcasts live from the WFMS Super Studio at the fair. (JD Cannon is the host of WFMS' popular Friday night "Indy's Most Wanted" Top 10 request countdown--if you're local, vote for Bucky, too!) Check out the Carrier Cool Zone Autograph Area while you're at the fair--no word yet on when or if Bucky's signing, but there's a pretty good chance you'll get to say hello. Finally, follow the Indiana State Fair at Twitter for contests, deals, free tickets, meet and greet passes and more.

Bucky's MySpace calendar, Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and Bucky Covington's official tour page have all the info you'll need to get in on the live-show excitement.

We'll close with a little reminder about the Country Weekly "new album" Cyber Poll--yep, it's still goin' on, and as long as they'll let us cast a write-in vote for Bucky Covington's new album, we'll do it. (October 13th may seem like it's pretty far off, but that's only 53 or so days from now--just around the corner--and I am pretty excited. Lyric Street sent out the cover art for Bucky's debut album about a month and a half in advance of the CD's release in April, 2007...could we be seeing the cover for CD #2 pretty soon? Sure hope so...)

More later--have a terrific Thursday!--Winnie
