Win a signed Bucky Covington poster in the CMTT Charity Auction, and a request reminder...

Bucky Covington chats with the crowd from the stage at his recent Des Moines concert; thanks to the very kind Judy Lang for the photo.

Thanks to the fine Got Country blog for the heads-up on Country Music Tattle Tale's first annual charity auction--an autographed Bucky Covington poster is among the many celebrity-donated items that will be up for bids starting on July 20th. From the CMTT press release:

Country Music Tattle Tale is proud to announce our first annual online charity auction. This year’s online auction will benefit Special Kids of Tennessee (www.specialkidstn.com) and feature autographed items from Nashville’s hottest country music acts. Bids will begin on July 20, 2009.

Fans will be just a click and ten days away from owning cds, pictures, clothing, and other great collectibles touched by their favorite country stars. Some of country musics’ biggest names have donated their signatures and items to the auction including Darius Rucker, John Rich, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean, Jimmy Wayne, Jake Owen, Carter Twins, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, and many, many more.

Bookmark CMTT and mark your calendar--good luck!

Our evening chart update is a mixed bag-- "I Want My Life Back" [hear Bucky Covington's new single at his MySpace] was inaudible on WKML's "Top 5 at 6" tonight (cue sad trombones), but it is holding that bulleted #36 spot on the Mediabase pm charts. That's a pretty fine accomplishment, considering how many superstar releases Bucky and his new-artist contemporaries have had to weather lately! However, that bullet's looking slender--as in single-digits-slender--so that Top 30 quest is going to require some extra help this week.

(If you're here for the Nightly Nag...er, "reminder", and you've never actually joined in the request line fun, now's the time! It's pretty cool to hear your song--and sometimes your name or city--on the radio, and it's great to know Bucky's being heard all over town...or all over the country.)

Give your local country DJ a call, or contact the syndicated star who graces your airwaves in the evenings:

    steve's journal is up.

also. we gotta have more than a couple of people calling the syndicates to get them to play IWMLB> Please, if everyone of Buckymania's readers only gets through to one a night and rotates which one you call, they will play him! So far GAC nights is the only one that regularly plays him. Yeah Buzz. Stream for just a few before you call. Bucky needs us!

  2. Anon, thanks! Here's hoping the syndicated shows hear from a lot more of us--we get visitors from all over the country (and overseas) so every host on the list is on someone's dial. :)

Will check out Steve's update and thank you!
