Wednesday news: Bucky Covington's hot July begins, and a bit of mystery...

Bucky Covington takes a "heartfelt" moment at the KJJY Big Country Bash in Des Moines--huge thanks to the talented Judy Lang for sharing this terrific concert photo!

A very quick look at what's happening now:

Bucky Covington's summer tour resumes on Friday, July 3rd with a stop at the Sheridan Wyoming Rodeo; Blake Shelton rounds out the evening, and it's bound to be a hot one! Reserved seating is going fast, so time is very much of the essence--head on over to MaxWeb now to buy tickets online, and have a fantastic time at this quintessentially Western celebration. (Keep Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and Bucky Covington's official tour page handy, and be sure to catch a live celebration near you. Bucky and his band will definitely light up your summer!)

"I Want My Life Back" [hear Bucky Covington's new single at his MySpace] is so tantalizingly close to Top 30 status; at last check it was--you guessed it--#31 on the Mediabase published charts, with a bullet we'd love to see grow, and grow, and grow. Thirty-one is a great number for ice-cream flavors...but for Bucky's chartwatching fans, Top 30 will taste sweeter than a chocolate sundae with sprinkles. Call up your local country DJ for those "Top X at X" countdowns and lunchtime request hours today and ask for Bucky--you'll have plenty of company, and maybe we can all get that sweet tooth satisfied soon.

Dueling guitars! Many thanks to Janie for this fun shot of Bucky Covington and Jeff Cease rocking the crowd at last weekend's KJJY Big Country Bash.

We'll close for now with a couple of mini- mysteries-- we'd love to see those radio station concert photos from Country Jam USA at 92.5 the Wolf, but the gallery's a bit tricky. There are plenty of shots of the cute Wolf Girls modeling team under the Day One and Day Two links--however, their page for Day Three (Saturday) is...um, kinda blank as of post time. (Hope some performance shots pop up there soon.) And that rumored October 17th concert in Springfield, MO remains shrouded in mystery at the moment--if you're in the Springfield area and hear anything at all about a venue, sponsor or tickets, please pop a note in comments--thanks!

Enjoy your Wednesday, and we'll see you very soon--Winnie

Another mystery to add. Did Steve stop writing his journal?

  2. Anon, good question! He's an excellent writer...hope he'll continue. (I can sure understand how hard it is juggling a journal and a busy life, though. :)
