Quick Saturday news: Bucky Covington in Palmdale tonight, chart check and more...

Bucky Covington hits a high note on stage at Country Jam USA in Colorado; thanks again to the very gracious Diver for sharing this terriffic shot.

First things first--here's a quick look of where Bucky Covington and his excellent band will be rocking the house this weekend:

Tonight, 8 pm: Palmdale Amphitheater, Palmdale, CA
(Part of the city's Starlight Concert Series; admission is $5 at gate, free for 12 and under. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy an exciting show under the stars!)

Sunday, July 12th: Alameda County Fair, Pleasanton CA
(Concerts are included in fair admission; click here for ticket info.)

Coming up next week: the Santa Barbara County Fair in Santa Maria, CA on Wednesday, July 15th, and the Gold Country Casino and Hotel in Oroville, CA on Thursday, July 16th. (Tickets available online via TicketForce.) As of post time, the show is missing from the TicketForce list and Gold Country's entertainment page, and a note in comments indicates it may be cancelled. The Gold Country information number is (800) 803-1911. Thanks, Anon--we'll look for more info on this one...

"I Want My Life Back" [hear Bucky Covington's new single at his MySpace] is starting off the weekend at #36 with a bullet (hooray) on the Mediabase published country charts--however, that bullet could use some serious plumping up! We'll get a bit of a boost from the weekend countdown shows, but Bucky's still counting on us to make the request lines hot--and now's the perfect time. There are a few more superstar tunes on the rise before things get back to the usual pace in that Top 30 zone--and any advantage we can give Bucky's latest is a beautiful thing. (So take that local request line number with you while you're out and about enjoying the summer sun...)

Cutting this post short due to a wild thunderstorm that just moved in--a fried computer would be no fun. Hope the weather's much nicer where you are! See you later today--Winnie

Gold Casino in Oroville no longer has Bucky on its website. A person who had tickets told me show was cancelled.

  2. Thanks for the update, Anon! Just added your info to the post, and I hope for the Oroville fans' sake that if the show's been cancelled, it can be rescheduled eventually...
