Bucky Covington greets the crowd during his performance at the Country Jam in Grand Junction; thanks to Diver for the terrific photo!
Bucky Covington and his excellent band are touring extensively this summer in support of his next album, due September 8th--and there's never been a better time to see them live than right now! The weather's fine, the music from the new album is hot, and Bucky and company are a total blast in concert. Your next chance comes on Wednesday, July 15th at 8 pm Pacific, when they'll rock the Santa Barbara County Fair in Santa Maria, CA. (Huge bonus--that's opening day, and admission to the fair is just a dollar. Gotta love a good deal!)
That Gold Country Casino and Hotel show in Oroville, CA originally scheduled for Thursday, July 16th appears to have vanished from both the casino site and Ticket Force. If you were planning to go to this one, please call Gold Country toll free at (800) 803-1911 for an update on the show's status and any possible rescheduling.
Coming up: the Linn County Fair in Albany, OR on July 17th, (concerts are free with paid admission, or purchase reserved seating within 35 feet from the stage for an additional $15.00) and the Jackson County Fair near Medford, Oregon, where Bucky opens for Sawyer Brown on Thursday, July 23. (Tickets are now on sale online: $25 reserved, $15 lawn.) Listen to 105.1 HANK-FM in Medford for more info, and some possible contests and giveaways...
Yep, we're gonna link you to Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and Bucky Covington's official tour page again. We keep doing that for a reason--we know you're going to love the show!

If you love listening to "I Want My Life Back" [hear Bucky Covington's new single at his MySpace] on your radio, you're in good company--the song begins the week at #35 with a bullet, even though it's wedged between two new superstar releases this morning. The charts are a bit tough on newer artists this summer, but our requests will definitely help Bucky's tune weather the "almost Top 30" storm. A good place to start is that lunchtime request hour, if your local country station has one, and those "Top X at X' countdowns are cruicial, too. Feel free to participate in WKML's "Top 5 at 6", where "I Want My Life Back" is on a roll! Write to our good friend Larry K at country@wkml.com and ask for Bucky's latest, then tune into the stream at 6 pm ET to hear the results.
Finally, here's a quick look at Brian Mansfield's American Idol airplay chart update at USA Today's Idol Chatter blog--as Mr. Mansfield notes, it's kinda quiet over there. Bucky's single holds the #17 spot on his Idolcentric chart for the second week in a row. Many thanks to him for compiling the info!
We'll close with a few repeat photo links you might have missed over the weekend--check out Midask 9's beautiful Madison concert shots at the It's Good to Be Us blog; enjoy some fun photos from Bucky's Bakersfield stop at KUZZ's MySpace Gallery; and if you haven't seen those new photo shoot outtakes at the Country Music is Love blog, you're in for a treat! Buckytown USA's latest update has lots of links to new photos, so be sure to make it part of your lunch hour browsing.
More soon--enjoy a sweet summer Monday!--Winnie
