Friday news: Bucky Covington in Oregon, radio contests, chart check and more...

Another great concert shot by Minnie: Bucky Covington on stage at the Alameda County Fair last week. Thanks to Minnie for her generosity!

Here's a quick look at Friday's happenings:

The next stop on Bucky Covington's extensive (and hot!) summer tour happens tonight at the Linn County Fair in Albany, Oregon--the music starts at 8:15 pm with Western Underground, and Bucky and company take the stage at 9:30. Concerts are free with paid admission--we're not sure if that close-up reserved seating for $15 extra is still available, but if you're going, ask for it. (It'll definitely be worth it!)

Radio sponsors for Bucky's next two shows have some goodies for you, too--a little luck, and you could get your tickets absolutely free. On July 23rd, Bucky and his band and Sawyer Brown will rock the Jackson County Fair near Medford, Oregon, and 105.1 HANK-FM is giving away tickets. Enter the drawing on the station's site, and listen to Breakfast with Bishop to see if you'll be spending your music-filled night on the house. (Don't want to take chances? Tickets are available online at $25 reserved, $15 lawn.)

July 24th's Bucky Covington / Sawyer Brown show at the Night in the Country festival in Yerington, Nevada is sponsored by K-Bull 98.1 , and they're in a generous mood, too. From the site: Listen all week starting Monday, July 20th. The K-Bull Guys between 6am - 10am will give away tickets every 1/2 hour - 1 pair for both nights! You can also get your seats online at the festival's site or in person at Scolari's stores--whether you win or buy your seats, you'll want to be there for sure...

As always, bookmarking Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and Bucky Covington's official tour page is recommended. These guys put on a truly high-energy show--they're a summertime must!

Jeff Cease and Bucky Covington on stage at the Santa Barbara County Fair earlier this week; thanks to a very kind anonymous photographer for sharing this one.

On the radio, Bucky's new single "I Want My Life Back" [hear it here] is gracing the Mediabase published charts at #36 with a bullet this morning. We're still repeating that mantra--the bigger the bullet, the better--and we're still busy on those request line phones. Bucky was a bright part of the "Top 5 at 6" countdown on fFayetteville's WKML yesterday--feel free to write the very kind Larry K at country@wkml.com and show Bucky some home-state love, as well as giving him a round of applause on your country station.

We'll leave you with a video blast from the recent past by the very kind DiamonstarBC--here's Bucky and the band, complete with dramatic entrance, doing a very energetic "American Friday Night" in Greenville. Have a great Friday night of your own! More soon--Winnie
