Thanks again to Minnie for this beautiful concert photo from Bucky Covington's recent perfomance at the Alameda County Fair in California.
It's one of those days at the Mediabase charts--Bucky Covington's "I Want My Life Back" is bearing that dreaded "invisible bullet" this morning, y'all. The good news is that most of the songs surrounding his current #34 spot have worn that see-through bullet, too, and like those tunes, Bucky's new single is bound to bounce back quickly. However--it'll happen much, much faster with a little help from us!
The request lines at our respective local country stations should be as hot as the summer sun today--so please dial up those "lunchtime cafe" shows, "Top X at X" countdowns, and more. With a big boost from us (and our country-radio listening friends, family and co-workers) we can get over this latest glitch easily.
Yep, the country charts are infamously frustrating to watch, and this is one of those times where being an active, engaged supporter of a fantastic new artist is more like a tough marathon than a quick exhilarating sprint. But we Bucky Covington fans have a long tradition of hanging in there and gettin' 'er done when the rubber meets the road. The big picture goal is getting him a nice and tasty hit to lead off the release of his second album on September 8th, and we're on track for that, with a Top 30 milestone still in plain sight. So keep the faith, keep the phone handy and keep the radio turned up loud!
I'm still tweaking code and working on the blog re-design; look for a news post (and possibly a new look) on this page later today. See you very soon, tech and heaven willing--Winnie
