Thanks to the very gracious Diver for providing this unique (and fun!) perspective on Bucky Covington's energetic performance at yesterday's Country Jam in Grand Junction, CO.
Bucky Covington and his excellent band wind up their Western weekend with a stop at the Des Moines Water Works Park for today's 92.5 KJJY Big Country Bash, and this star-studded multi-artist festival is bound to be a perfect Sunday party. Jason Brown, Love & Theft, Eli Young Band, Gloriana, Emerson Drive, John Michael Montgomery and Tracy Lawrence are the other artists you'll enjoy this afternoon and into the night; gate admission ($45) is available, and we'd suggest getting there early...
As for yesterday's Country Jam in Colorado, we're keeping an eye on 92.5 The Wolf in Denver; their photo gallery will probably be updated with Jam shots today and tomorrow. Bucky and the band are on tour all summer long, and they are definitely a must-hear--check his official concert schedule to see when they'll rock a venue near you!
Meanwhile, on your radio, the Sunday countdowns are chugging along, and Bucky's new single "I Want My Life Back" is likely to be gracing Kix Brooks' American Country Countdown and Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40 on a nearby speaker or stream as we speak. Click those show links to find out when each program is on the air on your local country station, or check Radiotime for your many streaming options. Bucky's emerging hit finished the evening Saturday at #34 with a good-sized bullet on Mediabase, and all the lovely countdown airtime will give it some healthy momentum. We can capitalize on that with some well-timed requests once live programming resumes! Keep that local request-line number close as you're out and about...
On your newsstand, Bucky and his tattoo can be found in the July 6th issue of Country Weekly. Huge thanks to the very kind reader who left a note in comments with the details! (She even gave us a page number; it's page 27, y'all, and I have a feeling that issue might disappear a bit more quickly than usual.)
And there's a bonus Bucky sighting on your television coming up soon, too--the Huntington, WV Herald-Dispatch reports that the Outdoor Channel will spotlight the Hatfield-McCoy trails on Monday with encore presentations:
The Hatfield-McCoy Trails will be featured on back-to-back television programs on the Outdoor Channel on Monday, June 29.
Dirt Trax TV will broadcast a program featuring a ride with country music stars Bucky Covington and Michael Scott. That show will air at 5 and 8 p.m.
We'll close for now with a little taste of that off-road fun, via TrailsHeaven on YouTube; here's Bucky enjoying the ride and giving a terrific interview about growing up with Rocky, making the motocross-themed video for "It's Good to Be Us", bragging on his fans, and describing the joys of country music. Thanks for stopping in and have a beautiful Sunday!--Winnie
IWMLB #31/ #30 on afternoon MB.
