Evening edition: Bucky Covington at the York Fair, and more CMA Fest goodness...

A little news sweep for a Thursday evening:

The CMA Fest reports are coming in, and it sounds like a lot of good times are in progress in Music City, despite the morning's downpour; KGRT's Blog Mouse has an excellent overview of today's events, including a fun shot of Bucky Covington with one of the ROCK BAND contest winners.

Bucky and his band hit the Riverstages for a free show at 11 am tomorrow, weather permitting. Head to the official CMA Fest site for the full day's lineup and all the info you'll need. (And if the rest of the musical fare that day--and night--is tempting you, it isn't too late to grab some single-night tickets!)

Those of us outside Nashville (sigh) will still be able to enjoy Bucky on the radio--request "I Want My Life Back" from your local country DJ this evening--or if a syndicated show is playing as we speak, call up your favorite host and ask for Bucky's latest:

Bucky listed the tour date on his Web site a couple of days ago; WGTY programming director Scott Donato confirmed the show date and time Wednesday morning.

“We’re thrilled to get someone of Bucky’s caliber,” Donato said. “We worked hard to get him.”

Hey, and talk about great timing. That York show is just days after Bucky’s second CD is supposed to hit stores on Sept. 8.

Sounds like Bucky's York-area fans have an extra set of reasons to celebrate that week! Bookmark the York Fair site for more info as the concert date gets closer.
