Sunday night update: new review at It's Good to Be Us and more...

Bucky Covington and Ducky Medlock (left) on stage during the Poughkeepsie Throttle Wide Open concert; photo by our talented friend Aikenseeker. Thanks so much!

I was sidelined with a cold most of today, but Midask9 had a much better weekend--her review and fantastic photos from the Throttle Wide Open show last night are available at her It's Good to Be Us blog today. (One word for those shots--wow!) You've probably been to The Covington Times at this late hour, but if you haven't, be sure to catch up on a some lovely history in words and pictures.

The tour is taking a break for the 2008 CMT Music Awards tomorrow--once the cold meds kick in, look for a preview post here with all the news you'll need to know about Monday's big event. After that, Bucky's bus is headed for the Bearcat Arena in Maryville MO on April 16th, the Canyon Moon Ranch in Florence AZ on the 19th, and points West.

And if you're looking for a little fun on YouTube, there are a couple of short but very sweet snippets from the recent Purdue show freshly posted for your pleasure--here's a taste of "I'll Walk" and a bit of "I'm Good", as captured by the very gracious Gidiup4. Thanks for sharing these!

A reminder about that Country Weekly survey--Bucky's doing very nicely at last check, but every extra vote is always welcome! Have your say here, and hurry--voting ends at midnight tomorrow.

Finally, remember way back last spring when we were talking about the line dance community's apparent fondness for Bucky's album? A second instructional video made it to YouTube (actually, looks like it's been there a month--whoops!) and it's terrific. Here's hoping this line dance to "It's Good to Be Us" sweeps the clubs near you.

Edited to add the latest from the Duke: "IT'S GOOD TO BE US" from Bucky Covington takes on Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" on this week's New Music Playoffs. Check out this match-up and others and CAST YOUR VOTES today at www.musicplayoffs.com (link fixed). Listen to the show live Sunday Mornings - it's all free. Thanks,-The Duke of New Music.

Happy dancing, and have a wonderuful Sunday night!
