Monday morning news: fun vintage video, CMA Fest update and more...

Our talented friend Cathy Anne captured this classic shot of Bucky Covington performing "I'll Walk" in Poughkeepsie during the Throttle Wide Open tour; click the image to read her excellent interview with Bucky at Gone Country Magazine. Thanks, Cathy Anne!

How about a sweet video blast from the past to start off the week? Bucky Covington delighted the reporters from WTVC in Chattanooga with this fun red-carpet interview during the CMA Awards, but it only turned up on our radar today--better late than never, yes?

Also from Chattanooga, word about another now-confirmed summer show--Bucky and his excellent band will rock
Lake Winnepesaukah park on July 20th, according to the Times-Free Press. Ticket information is available at the Park's website--hope you can be there!

An update about this year's CMA Fest comes to us via
the Nashville Tennessean-- those sought-after single-day tickets are on sale now:

The individual tickets — $40 for reserved seats and $30 for general admission — do not include admission to the daytime stages or the Fan Fair Hall.

"The single-night concert ticket option has been extremely popular with our local fans, as well as those who are unable to attend all four days," says CMA chief Tammy Genovese.

The June 8 show's lineup is Sara Evans, Billy Ray Cyrus, Dwight Yoakam, Randy Travis, Bucky Covington and James Otto.

You can snag your saet for the Sunday night show today at Ticketmaster. (No word on whether or not there will be an ABC CMA Fest special this year--last year's ratings were rumored to be a bit disappointing--but we'll keep an ear out for any news on that front...)

And for some immediate gratification, check out Bucky and the band tonight as they join Dierks Bentley for a Throttle Wide Open show at the Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum in Pullman, Washington--there may be last-minute seats at TicketsWest.com. Wednesday, the tour hits the Rushmore Plaza in Rapid City, South Dakota with Lee Brice (tickets at eAvenue) and on Thursday, see and hear Dierks, Bucky and Lee at the Casper Events Center in Casper, Wyoming. (Tickets for the Casper show are on sale at the venue's site.) The spring and summer tour madness is revving up--bookmark the tour page on Bucky's official site and hang on tight!

The Pompano Beach show was a big hit with the critics and the audience--and Lisa/Judge's fun video of "It's Good to Be Us" is a wonderful memory from that night! Many thanks to Lisa for sharing--see more of her videos here.

Bucky's technically unreleased single, "I'll Walk", continues its early climb in style; it's currently #72 with a bullet on the Mediabase weighted chart, and it's very safe to assume that there are more "like it or lump it" style radio test-drives on the way this week. Be sure to keep your local country station on speed dial!

You can also catch Bucky on the tube today--the CMT Music Awards have a few more re-run airdates to go. Here's the list of remaining showtimes:

Monday, April 21, 2008 3:30 PM ET/PT
Thursday, April 24, 2008 10:00 PM ET/PT
Monday, May 5, 2008 10:00 PM ET/PT

We're still very much on the lookout for some Country Thunder souvenirs (especially that Bucky/Billy Ray Cyrus "Brown Eyed Girl" duet--for the love of heaven, if you have any photos and/or video, please contact us immediately at buckymaniablog@yahoo.com, she typed, shamelessly), but while we're waiting, it's always sweet to give Bucky an online vote of confidence! Click here to vote for Bucky at GAC.comAs long as "It's Good to Be Us" remains on the GAC Top 20 Country Countdown ballot , we'll give it a thumbs-up. And Bucky's still in the running at the just-for-fun Duke's New Music Playoffs, too. (Good practice for the coming "I'll Walk"chart adventure...

More soon--enjoy Monday!
