Bucky Covington (with Shaun Bayles at left) gets ready to belt out a tune on stage at the Lincoln Theater in Raleigh in this shot taken last fall; photo by our very talented friend Buckyroo. Thanks so much, Buckyroo! A very quick look at the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts reveals two somewhat invisible bullets beside "It's Good to Be Us" this morning, so requesting is naturally the first thing on our minds! Our local DJs and the nationally syndicated country radio shows need to hear from us today--it's as simple as that. (Simple, yes, but crucial.) We've helped get bullets back into the "visible" column once already this month--I think we've got the power and the passion (and the phones) to help inspire another re-appearing act...
(Click here to get the badge at left for your MySpace, webpage or email signature.)Upcoming shows: Yesterday, a new show was added to Bucky's schedule; according to The Southern.com; he and his excellent band will perform April 9 at the Williamson County Pavilion in Marion, IL, with Lady Antebellum. No online sales are available at present for this one, so if you're local, get your tickets ($25) at Black Diamond Harley Davidson in Marion, Clayship Guitars in Carbondale and Main Street Records in Mount Vernon.
The Throttle Wide Open tour gets back into gear at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach tomorrow; we've sure missed Dierks, Bucky and Luke Bryan! Check for last-minute general admission tickets at Ticketmaster. Tickets for most of Dierks Bentley's Throttle Wide Open dates are available now at Ticketmaster; Dierks' official website has details on non-Ticketmaster events. Seats for the Jackson, TN Dierks Bentley concert on April 3rd are available at the City of Jackson site.
Other non-Ticketmaster shows include Bucky and his excellent band's headlining small-hall stop at the Buffalo Bar in St. Joseph, MO on Friday, March 21--tickets can be bought at Biggins Sports Bar & Grill (816 232-4450) or Buffalo Bar at (816) 390-8444. Dierks Bentley and Bucky are listed on the concert calendar at the Red Rock Resort for a "Backyard" concert on Friday, May 2nd. Tickets (21 and over) go on sale Saturday, 3/15 at the Station Casinos online box office.
