Thanks to the kind anonymous commenter who left us some good news about the latest Radio & Records country singles chart; Bucky Covington's "It's Good to Be Us" continutes its upward climb by another spot to land at #14 this week. (The weekly charts are more of a "big picture" view than the daily ones, so we'll call this evidence of momentum--and an inspiration to call Lia, The Big Time with Whitney Allen, Danny Wright All Night, After Midnite or our favorite local DJs tonight and celebrate with requests...)Thanks also to Dixie for her heads-up on tomorrow's CMT Power Picks ; "It's Good to Be Us" will face a rather unusual challenger during the second half of the hour. (Click here to see all of Thursday's matchups. That matchup page lists the old 12 noon airtime, but the show actually begins at 11 a.m. ET.)
We'll post another reminder tomorrow morning--and at 11 a.m. on Thursday, please join us on the main Power Picks site, hit the "Vote Now" link, and watch that pop-up voting window...and when you see Bucky's smiling face, mouse-click away!
Finally, here's another just-for-fun spot online where Bucky could use a little shout-out. Fanpop.com is a popular gathering place for music, TV and movie fans, as well as for niche fans of anything from fashion labels to food. Taylor Swift's spot there is busy, with 205 fans and counting; Bucky's labelmates Rascal Flatts are goin' strong with a 215-fan spot, Kellie Pickler's spot (link fixed) is off to a good start with 21 fans, and Bucky Covington's...well, he didn't have a spot at all until today. Now he does, and he has...1 fan. Feel free to list yourself as a fan of Bucky's, too! All you need is an email address and a screenname to be part of the total. (Yep, we're still out to make sure that Bucky's name gets a mention wherever people get together to enjoy some pop-culture time online. Being a fan of his is so much fun that you can't help but want to share the wealth...)More soon--have a great Thursday evening!
The match up for power pick is the winner of Gone Country. John Rich produced the winners song and this is the video for the single. The good thing is that the young girls will be in school at that time. LOL
ReplyDeleteThat is going to be an interesting matchup for sure! :) Thanks for the background info--should be fun!
