The 2008 CMT Music Awards: 18 days to vote (and some head-bobbin' fun...)

A few posts back, we took a look at the ways that some of Bucky Covington's luckiest fans might get to see the 2008 CMT Music Awards up close and personal at the Curb Event Center--but if you can't be there, Bucky's labelmates Rascal Flatts have a way for you to be part of the show--literally. Naturally, the biggest way to be part of the show as far as Bucky's fans are concerned is to vote! "A Different World" needs your click for the USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year award. Register at CMT and vote for Bucky now---and recruit as many friends, co-workers and neighbors as you can!

An update on getting there in person-- Ticketmaster's still sold out as of post time (sigh), but the CMT One Country auctions are still going strong, and the Garnier Nutrisse-sponsored Rising Stars Sweepstakes, with tickets to the awards and a makeover as first prize, is still taking entries until April 1. Good luck, and we hope to see a glamorous Bucky Covington fan on the red carpet next month!

Here's the scoop on the Rascal Flatts fun:

NASHVILLE – Three-time nominees, Rascal Flatts, have been added to the performance line-up of the 2008 CMT MUSIC AWARDS. As part of their performance, the group is inviting fans to submit videos via CMT.com for their performance of the song “Bob That Head” off of their album Still Feels Good. From today through April 7, fans are encouraged to upload 20-30 second clips of them “bobbing” their heads and singing along to the "Bob That Head" chorus. During Rascal Flatts 2008 CMT MUSIC AWARDS performance, fan submitted videos will be shown on monitors behind the group. More details available at bobthathead.CMT.com.

Hosted by Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus, the 2008 CMT MUSIC AWARDS air live from Nashville’s Curb Event Center at Belmont University on Monday, April 14 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT* on CMT and CMT.com. The 2008 CMT MUSIC AWARDS continues to be the genre’s only fan-voted awards. Fans can vote online at CMT.com through Friday, April 11 to determine the night’s winners.
