Another one of those rumored summertime dates can now be put squarely into the confirmed column--Bucky Covington and his terrific band will play at Magic Springs in Hot Springs, Arkansas on July 26, according to this blog post at the Arkansas Times. Concerts are included with park admission; details on pricing are available at the Magic Springs site. Congratulations to Bucky's Arkansas fans!
There's another fun post at the The Tennessean--Bucky's name turns up in the helpful Ms. Cheap column as part of a story on a great entertainment bargain in Nashville. Stop in and find out what those Crook & Chase tapings for RFD are really like. (For starters, they're pretty intimate! Writer Mary Hance notes Studio A at the Grand Ole Opry House is "an intimate setting, with 200 seats on the floor and 175 in the balcony"--and at a whopping $4 handling charge, it's also one of the best deals in town! Bucky's Crook & Chase segment will be taped on March 4th; to find out more, head over to The Tennessean now.)
Here's a look at the rest of Wednesday's happenings:
Chart news: The wild ride continues! "It's Good to Be Us" is #17 on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts this morning, with a fierce midchart battle between three talented newcomers in progress. We can help make it even wilder--keep requesting, and be sure to give those nationally syndicated country radio shows a call tonight, too!
Upcoming shows: We'll keep looking out for more breaking news on those fantastic summer concerts; in the meantime, here's a reminder about tomorrow's Throttle Wide Open show at the Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend, Indiana. Last-minute tickets for Dierks, Bucky and Luke's very hot concert might still be available at at the Morris Box Office, Supersounds Catalog Center inside TG Music in Goshen, by phone at (800) 537-6415 or (574) 235-9190, or online at morriscenter.org. On Friday, they'll rock the Farmington Civic Center; check Ticketmaster for any freshly-released seats, and good luck. Hope you'll be right up front!

A little sunshine and summertime--Bucky Covington's "I'm Good" was a big hit at Country Thunder last year, where he shared the stage with Sawyer Brown. Thanks to mandaluvsclay for the video!
On the tube and around the net: The Covington Times is on hiatus for the day-- we'll check back tomorrow. Enjoy a fantastic concert shot, a beautiful graphic bumper sticker and some excellent observations about requests and sharing Bucky's music at Midask9's It's Good to Be Us blog today. We'd like to thank Robin for graciously sharing the perecentages from yesterday's CMT Power Picks ("Our Song" got 54% of the vote, "It's Good to Be Us", 46%) and for letting us know that Bucky Krazy is ailing. All the best to you from all of us--get well soon!
On the tube, GAC is offering a double shot of Bucky Covington goodness; at 6:08 PM ET, enjoy "It's Good To Be Us" and at 11:17 PM, "A Different World" ends the day on a sweet note. For future tube fun, here are a couple of awards show bulletins--this year's CMT Music Awards will be hosted by Billy Ray Cyrus and Miley Cyrus (final nominees will be anounced March 6th) and the Academy of Country Music will announce the nominees for the 43rd Annual ACM Awards on March 4th. The ACMs will be carried by CBS this year--mark your calendar for the broadcast on Sunday, May 18th. We hope to see Bucky nominated--and winning--at both shindigs!
Vote for Bucky: We'll close with the video voting reminders--show "It's Good to Be Us" some love at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, at CMT's Top 20 Countdown and CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack. (Today's the last day for voting on the latter, so mosey on over there now...)More soon--enjoy your Wednesdays!
IG2BU is #18 on R&R this week, down from #16 last week.

Thanks, Anon and Anon! I'll post that out front. (Sounds like we have a little work to do chartwise, but that's nothing we can't handle... :)
