Ticket and tour update for 2008: the story so far...

Bucky Covington on stage at Uncle Ron's in Lincoln, Nebraska, 11/28; photo by the very kind Janie, who shares more of her images from that exciting show in her Photobucket gallery. Thanks again, Janie! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music videos for "It's Good to Be Us" and "A Different World" are available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his singles at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

It's not quite the night before Christmas, but it's close enough at hand for things to be rather quiet, indeed--the Mediabase charts are looking rather familiar, and Bucky Covington's rockin' version of "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" is making a lot of spirits bright nationwide, as a quick check of Yes.com reveals.

But come New Year's Eve--and for much of the rest of the year--the concert scene is going to be anything but quiet. Bucky's newly-posted 2008 tour schedule already has lots of us scrambling for travel info, even though some of the venues aren't even listed yet! Here's a quick look at the shows we do have plenty of information on, so far, with an expanded listing for Bucky's next show:

The Opry tickets page is showing good availability for the 12th; but with the bill shaping up so beautifully, that could change in the blink of an eye. (Bucky, Joe and Old Crow Medicine Show? I'd be there if I could. Get your tickets soon!) Good seats are still available for the Pullo Performing Arts Center concert in York, PA, but that one's filling up fast, as well. And a quick check at Ticketmaster reveals just what you'd expect from the Dierks Bentley and Trace Adkins ticket searches--those are some extremely hot dates. However, if the seat you want isn't coming up at the moment, never fear--as you'll recall from way back during the American Idols Live tour (and doesn't that seem like a million years ago?), some excellent tickets are sometimes released a little closer to the show date. Hang in there...

No matter where you sit or what the venue might be, Bucky Covington live is a treat not to be missed. If you have seen and heard him in concert, you know what we mean--and if you haven't, you are in for a major musical treat! We'll make it as easy as possible for you to have all the info you need to get yourself a rockin' good time (or two, or more) with Bucky in 2008. Stay tuned!--Winnie

The Monday mediabase is not looking too good, We have lost the bullets on both charts. Come on lets get em back. IG2BU needs to make it to the Top 10.

Could the fact that YES.com has changed formats and many of us no longer visit there be affecting this negative chart action?
Could Bucky's SCICTT rising chart spins be adversely affecting IG2BU?
Has there been a change in Mediabase where there is a slower fall off the charts to recurrent status? The mature songs once left more quickly and the newer ones filled their place.
Merry Christmas. Santa , please bring me a Top 20 soon!!!BF

  3. Anon and Buckyflowers, hello! Keep the faith--I do think Bucky's single will be bulleted again when radio programming returns to post-holiday form. The Yes.com changes were a jolt but the new format's feeling more familiar now...hopefully we'll be poppong in again more often.

BF, you and I are asking Santa for the very same thing--he's a nice guy, I hear. I bet he's listening to us, but I will make some extra cookies for him just in case... :D
