Bucky Covington (with Don Medlock on guitar at right) encourages a little audience participation from the stage of Billy Bob's Texas on 12/01; photo by the very kind Honky Tonk Woman. Thanks so much! The January 12th Grand Ole Opry show is shaping up to be quite an exciting bill, indeed; Bucky Covington, Joe Nichols, Rhonda Vincent, Opry member Del McCoury and the incredibly cool Old Crow Medicine Show are on the list so far. You won't want to miss this one! If you're in Nashville on the 12th, you'll have two chances to see Bucky--he'll be at the 1:00 p.m. session at the Sound and Speed event that day (tickets here), as well as on the legendary Ryman stage with his excellent band playing the Opry that night. For more info on tickets, head to the Opry's online box office; and bookmark their Calendar of Events to check the lineup as the days roll on.

We'll squeeze in a quick chart check while we're here; Bucky's "It's Good to Be Us" is once again a bulleted #27 on the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts (with country's newest superstar very close behind him) and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" flew up four spots to #80. A full news post is coming later today--for now, enjoy those last minute holiday preparations, and come on back soon!--Winnie
Well Bucky lost some spins and Aud imp. But being Sunday today we should see a good number go recurrent. There are alot of artists falling. *Crosses fingers for a big jump*
ReplyDeleteHi Winnie, Merry Christmas. Thanks so much for all you do.

ReplyDeleteHi Marzy and Anon! Marzy, thanks and a truly Merry Christmas to you and yours, too--you're very kind and tnanks for all you do!
ReplyDeleteAnon 4:47, I was wondering about that too--working on an evening post now and I kept checking the Mediabase page, thinking maybe I was wrong but nope...4:20 a.m. is the last update I see, too. Hopefully soon!
