Quick Thursday news: a chart hop, CRS buzz and more...

By request, Bucky Covington on stage in Milwaukee; photo by our talented friend Midask9, who had a great spot for Bucky's recent show at the Northern Lights Theatre. You'll find more of her beautiful images here. Thanks again, Midask 9! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video for "It's Good to Be Us" is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear his music atCMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

Thursday morning begins with a quick hop over to Mediabase where good news awaits--Bucky Covington's "It's Good to Be Us" moved up a notch overnight to #28 on both the weighted and Top 500 charts, and the bullets alongside both listings look gratifyingly healthy. Could we have yet another upward move to celebrate very soon? Keep requesting "It's Good to Be Us" at your favorite local or streaming country station (you knew that was coming, didn't you?) and keep on watching...

"Santa Claus is Coming to Town" is also doing quite nicely from coast to coast; our friends have heard it on stations as far West as KGRT out in Las Cruces (where Bucky's Southern New Mexico State Fair show was a big hit this fall) and out East on Wilkes-Barre's JR 93.7. If your station is in holiday programming mode, feel free to call in and ask for Bucky's rowdy bit of Christmas cheer! (And if you'd like to give a sweet musical gift to someone else--or yourself--check it out at Bucky's MySpace, or buy the digital single at WalMart Music, Yahoo Music or iTunes.)

Bucky's nod for the prestigious New Faces Of Country Music show at the Country Radio Seminar has caused quite a happy buzz this morning; the news has hit the wires and the excitement is growing. What's it like to be there? The event is indeed an industry-only showcase, but past attendees have graciously shared a bit of what the top showcase at CRS is all about--click here to read Sue Bauman's account of last year's New Faces performances at the Country Music section of About.com.

If you'd like to be there for Bucky's performance tonight at the Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse in Burgettstown, PA, you might still be able to snag a seat at Ticketmaster; Bucky, Jason and Cole are headed for the homestretch, and the Raisin' the Bar tour will be a sweet memory soon. Your final chances to enjoy Bucky Covington, Jason Michael Carroll and Cole Deggs & the Lonesome's once-in-a-lifetime joint tour are as follows:

December 6 Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse Burgettstown, PA [TM]
December 7 Crocodile Rock Café Allentown, PA [TM]
December 8 Rams Head Live! Baltimore, MD [tickets]

There's more live music on the horizon later this month, of course--you can catch up with Bucky's busy schedule at his official website, follow his path across the country on the very cool animated Gruvr map at his MySpace, or check out our December/January Concert Roundup for detailed information on upcoming shows.

Enjoy Bucky on TV today at 1:00 PM Eastern, when he hosts Music City Madness 2 on CMT. Bucky's music video for "It's Good to Be Us" is always a pleasure on the tube, too-- watch it online at CMT, and vote for "It's Good to Be Us" at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, at the GAC Top 50 Videos of the Year poll and at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack. (That GAC Top 50 poll ends tomorrow, by the way...if you haven't had a chance to vote, stop in there today and make your opinion count!)

Finally, here are a couple of reminders to wind up the morning. That fun "It's Good to Be Us" promo contest is still taking shape ; for an overview, check out Bucky's official MySpace blog , then get ready to team up and give Bucky's latest single a big boost! Prizes like personalized photos, a conference call with Bucky, meet and greet passes and more are part of the mix, and the Grand Prize is definitely a stunner. If you'd like to discuss the contest with your team-to-be, there's now a Street Team forum with free registration on Bucky Covington's official site --sign up here, and we'll see you there!

And RockyCovington.com is still looking for you--in pixels. If you had a chance to pose for a photo with Rocky, send it to fanphotos@rockycovington.com for their upcoming Fan Photo gallery. Rocky's newsletter is a must if you'd like to keep up with all the new features, and Rocky's fun new Q and A videos are a must if you'd like to start the day with a smile....

More soon--have a sweet Thursday!

Bucky is now the 7th most-followed musician on gruvr.com, measured by number of fans who bookmark his tour-map! He's up there with some heavyweights and some teen idol bands too :-)
