Bucky Covington may have a few days off from the busy (and popular!) Raisin' the Bar tour, but if you'd like to enjoy his musical charms this week from the comfort of home, you've got quite a few options. He'll be part of CMT Insider today at 11 a.m. ET, and again late tonight/early Monday at 1: 30 a.m. (Gotta love the Platnum Cowboys...) The final showtime for this edition of Insider is Monday at 11:30 a.m. And on Tuesday, Music City Madness 2 gets rolling with Bucky as the host with the most--look for the first episode at 10:00 a.m on 12/4, with plenty of re-airings to follow...
And on GAC, Christmas at the Tennessee makes a welcome encore at at 9:30 p.m. ET. This edited version of the 2006 GAC Christmas Tour stop at Knoxville's historic Tennessee Theatre stars Deana Carter, Julie Roberts, Blue County, Steve Azar and Bucky Covington, with comedian Henry Cho. Bucky's drop-dead bluesy "Please Come Home for Christmas" is a must-hear!
(We really enjoy that soulful side of Bucky's vocal style--if you like "Hometown" on his excellent CD, you'll love "Please Come Home for Christmas". A kind concertgoer who was present at the GAC taping caught a snippet of footage during his performance--see it here at YouTube for a sweet taste of what you'll be enjoying tonight. There are several additional airtimes this week--take a break from the holiday rush and celebrate with Bucky Covington and friends!)
Full post coming soon (after the NyQuil kicks in)--see you later!--Winnie
I am so sorry about the typos and bad editing, y'all! I am suffering from a winter cold and probably won't make much sense until the bug goes away or the NyQuil wears off, whichever comes first. Hope everyone's enjoying a nice (and healthy) Sunday...
ReplyDeleteThats OK Winnie, please take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteI know what will make you feel better, Go put in your Bucky cd. Works for me everytime.
~m~
Hope you feel better soon. Bucky is back up to #29 on both MB's. I was wondering who sang the one bass line in Bucky's "Santa" song. Kgator told me tonight it was Mark Miller!! How cool is that! By the way, "SCICTT" is now #118 on weighted!!BF
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marzy and Buckyflowers! I am going to drink some major quantities of orange juice and head back to bed. Love the idea of some fine music to take with me--thanks, Marzy! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Buckyflowers, there was all sorts of speculation about that voice--some thought it might be JMC, one person guessed it was Rocky...it's great to finally have the answer! Thanks to you and to Kgator. :)
