Country's brightest stars have always been ready, willing and able to give to a good cause, and now you can help out and get a priceless souvenir from Bucky in the process. From the National Eating Disorders Association:
Country music superstar Sara Evans is combating eating disorders this year by serving as chairperson of the third annual EVERY BODY IS BEAUTIFUL Online Auction, a fundraising program of the National Eating Disorders Association. As chairperson, Ms. Evans has asked her friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry to contribute unique experiences, autographed items and collectibles to the Every Body is Beautiful auction.
You will find items from many of today's rising stars and a number of established favorites including Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Bucky Covington, Gretchen Wilson, George Strait , Phil Vassar, Chris Young and more. We even have tickets to 2008's CMA Music Fest and VIP passes for the Grand Ole Opry, in addition to everyday items and special holiday gift ideas.
The auctions are currently in progress, and Bucky has donated a great gift package (autographed T-shirt, CD and poster) and a signed Hohner acoustic guitar. Good luck, and happy bidding!
Back very soon with a quick guide to voting and requesting--Bucky's newest tune, "It's Good to be Us", is on its way up, and with a little help from his loyal fans, it's poised to make it to the top. Come on back for details on how we can be part of a hitbound story. More shortly!--Winnie
We have lost spins on mediabase. IG2BU had just over 800 spins yesterday and today 794 on the weighted chart. Why will radio not play it more? Sorry Winnie im just a little frustrated
ReplyDeleteThat's okay, Anon--no need to apologize! It is a little frustrating. The best thing we can do right now is keep requesting it locally and on the syndicated shows; and voting for the video on the countdowns does give the song some fresh new ears, ears that could translate into even more requests.
ReplyDeleteI always say it, because it's true--as fans, we can influence the charts, but we can't control them...that is going to be a source of frustration for us no matter what, and there's no amount of sugar coating that will change it. And these mid chart stalls are the worst--I remember that month when we thought "A Different World" had "33" permanently tattooed on its back!
But Bucky's out on the road working hard to promote "It's Good to Be Us", and we're supporting it as well. I think the song has what it takes to be a huge hit...as do a lot of the songs on his CD! We'll keep on keepin' on.
