Bucky Covington and Shaun Bayles strike a dramatic note in this great shot by Midask9, who shares more of her great images from Friday's Northern Lights Theater concert in her new Photobucket gallery. Thanks again to Midask9 for the stunning photos!Bucky Covington's video for "It's Good to Be Us" is one of the contenders during the Tuesday 11/13 CMT Power Picks video-challenge show. The program starts at noon ET, and Bucky's matchup will happen during the first half of the show; at noon tomorrow, click here to go directly to the Power Picks main page, hit the "Vote Now" button, and stand by to cast your vote for Bucky. (Thanks, Laura!)
And while you're at CMT, mark your calendar for next month's Music City Madness recaps, hosted by Bucky. The first segment will air on December 3rd, with several repeats following. (Thanks, Dixie.) Bucky's also a rather hot topic in Neil Haislop's current "Question of the Week" column at GAC. (Rosanna, if your Google search led you to Buckymania, welcome aboard!) GAC will have a sweepstakes tied in with the 2008 Sound and Speed event in Nashville, where Bucky is among the country performers who'll be participating in the Backstage Garage Pass--you'll find more details and a full schedule at SoundandSpeed.org.

And we'll repeat this bit of nagging...or is that "encouragement"?--too. Keep requesting "It's Good to Be Us" at your favorite local country stations, vote for Bucky's newest in those"Top X at X' countdowns this week, call your favorite syndicated country radio host tonight and give "It's Good to Be Us" a shout out, and show Bucky's exciting new video some love at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, at CMT's Top 20 Countdown, at the brand-new GAC Top 50 Videos of the Year poll and at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack, too.
If you'll be at the Wildhorse Saloon for Bucky, Jason and Cole's great Music City adventure, I'll see you on Saturday night. Otherwise, I'll see you right here next week.
Have a good one!--Winnie

ReplyDeleteNo, Bucky did not win and it was not close . Everyone needs to vote again Thursday.

Bullet is back on Mediabase 500 - +1. Weighted chart is looking a little better but still a slim bullet. C'mon Lyric, get to pushing/promo'ing a little! The fans can only do so much and Bucky is doing exactly what he should be; out on the road, supporting the album and single. I think there was more label support behind the first single (and more TV appearances etc.) That probably explains the slower, more fluctuating climb.
ReplyDeleteI think the fact that many stations are still playing ADW a LOT has a lot to do with the slower climb. I know a few times I have requested and they say we already played ADW this shift so can't play G2BU. When a new single is following a single that did as well as ADW and has as much staying power as ADW.. it makes the climb a little slower and more difficult. Keep the faith, we will get the single up there as well :)
ReplyDeleteBucky has a new band! see Team Covington.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting.

R&R chart...#30 up 5 spots from last week.
ReplyDeleteI was reading at youtube and there are some folks trying to get Bucky's IG2BU video onto the VH1 Top 20 countdown. Go to VH1.com and find the top 20 page. You have to enter Bucky's name and song title. Then drag it to the #1 spot on the right side of the page, (same idea as GAC top 50). More exposure for Bucky and possible sales increase if his video gets played on VH1. If everyone votes there just like you do at GAC its very possible it could make the countdown.
ReplyDeleteWhat does everyone think, Bucky is making good with the motocross fans that is who is already tryin to get his video on VH1.
Do we try???
