Friday news: flirting with Top 30, a gift from Google and more...

A red-carpet blast from the past, and one of our most-requested photos ever; Bucky Covington at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville in May. Look for the very best in Nashville event coverage (and stay tuned for photos from the upcoming CMA Awards) at Music City Update.com. Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music videos are available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his singles at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club. (Photo by Aaron Crisler/ Music City Update .com)

They're still working on repairing our DSL, so we'll be offline for most of the day while the techies do their magic--look for a big news post this evening after we're back up to speed. In the meantime, here's some very good news to savor: Bucky Covington's "It's Good to Be Us" is now #31 on the Mediabase weighted charts and #32 on the Top 500. That is about as close at it gets to Top 30, y'all! Those bullets are looking a little healthier these days, too--we'll keep requesting!

And here's a cool highlight from the wonderful world of Google--as of this morning, typing Bucky Covington into the search field brings up a Sponsored Link which reads "See Bucky Covington on Wed Nov 7th at 8/7c. Only on ABC." That'll take you right to the official ABC 41st Annual CMA Awards website. (Edited: it did this morning, but it doesn't any more! However, feel free to check out those other snazzy sponsored links...)

The CMA site features pre-show videos, a fun "Live from Nashville" blog, a message board, and of course, Bucky Covington's name on the list of presenters. Happy browsing...

Kathy at Team Covington has word about tonight's Raisin' the Bar tour stop in Iowa-- Bucky, Rocky, Shaun, Don and Hans will join Jason Michael Carroll and special guests Cole Deggs & the Lonesome at the Val Air for an unforgettable night of rockin' country goodness. Last night Bucky played in Minnesota and K102 hasn't played his song yet. It has nothing to do with chart placement because they've played songs by those further down the chart. Time for them to get on the ball:
