Friday news: Beaumont Club, TV reminders, auction fare and more...

Bucky Covington gets lost in the music (top) and gets up close and personal (scroll down) in two beautiful concert shots taken at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville by our very talented friend Trish. Thanks again, Trish! (Click the images to view them full size.) Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music videos are available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full versions of his singles at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

The Raisin' the Bar tour is back in full swing again: Bucky Covington, Jason Michael Carroll and Cole Deggs & the Lonesome will rock the Beaumont Club in Kansas City for an all-ages show this evening. Tickets may still be yours for the taking at Ticketmaster, or at the door--if you can get there, be there. You're in for a wild and wonderful night!

Here are those last few dates on Bucky, Jason and Cole's very hot tour:

November 30 Beaumont Club Kansas City, MO [TM]
December 1 Billy Bob’s Texas Fort Worth, TX [TM]
December 5 Northern Lights Clifton Park, NY [tickets]
December 6 Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse Burgettstown, PA [TM]
December 7 Crocodile Rock Café Allentown, PA [TM]
December 8 Rams Head Live! Baltimore, MD [tickets]

December also brings some solo shows by Bucky, as well as a few special radio events--click here to see his official concert schedule for the rest of the year, and add him as a MySpace friend to stay on top of his latest happenings. Bucky Covington live is an addictive experience--ask anyone who's had the pleasure!

You'll also be able to enjoy Bucky via the magic of television in December. GAC is re-airing Christmas at the Tennessee on December 2nd at 9:30 p.m. ET, with repeat showtimes later in the week. Bucky added his stunningly bluesy version of "Please Come Home for Christmas" to his set in Lincoln the other night; if you weren't there, here's your chance to enjoy him doing it live on stage at the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville, during last year's memorable GAC Christmas tour. And Music City Madness 2 is just around the corner--Bucky's hosting the "madcap re-caps" of CMT's online talent search, and it sounds like sheer delight all around. Catch the first episode on December 4th at 10:00 a.m., and check out this newly expanded rerun schedule, too.

On the charts--well, it's deja vu all over again. Bucky's "It's Good to Be Us" is gracing the #29 spot on both the weighted and Top 500 charts once more today, and those bullets are respectable, but they could certainly use some plumping up. Keep requesting "It's Good to Be Us" at your favorite local or streaming country stations, watch the video at CMT, and give Bucky some love at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, at CMT's Top 20 Countdown, at the GAC Top 50 Videos of the Year poll and at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack. (By the way, that GAC Top 50 Videos poll expires on 12/7--so we've got a little time to recruit some extra viewers and voters...) Share that link with your friends and neighbors, y'all!

If your friends and neighbors happen to be in Fayetteville, you can also wish them a musical Merry Christmas with Bucky's smile-bait version of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town"--WKML has joined Tampa Bay's WQYK 99.5, Denver's KWLI/92.5 The Wolf and 97.3 The Hawk in Des Moines in adding Bucky's wild tune to their holiday playlists. A good question came up at the Bucky Covington fan thread at AmericanIdol.com--we're not sure whether non-country stations would have the song, but if there's a "mix" station in your area with a good dose of country in its fare, it can't hurt to ask for it there after you've requested it at your local country headquarters. (And of course, you can hear it 24/7 at Bucky's official My Space...)

We'll close with a reminder about the Every Body Is Beautiful auctions to benefit the National Eating Disorders Association; your chance to bid on a fun Bucky Covington gift package (autographed T-shirt, CD and poster) and a Hohner acoustic guitar signed by Bucky ends on Sunday, December 2nd. Support a deserving cause, and snag some great goodies in the process.

More soon--have a fantastic Friday!

Lost spins on the weighted chart and aud imp. Spins stayed the same on 500 chart but we lost aud imp on it.

  2. Thanks for the update, Anon! I have a feeling the holidays might be affecting non-holiday tunes a bit this week (I am no chart expert at all, though! Just a guess.)

We'll keep doing what we do best--responsible requesting and good word of mouth--and we'll see what happens long term. Thanks and have a great weekend!
