Sunday news: fun at Team Covington, messages from Texas and more...

Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music videos are available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full versions of his singles at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered through his official site or via his official fan club.

Head over to Team Covington now, where Kathy's got Sunday morning started in style! Not only does she have a link to a great newspaper story about Bucky Covington's "It's Good to Be Us" video heroine/love-interest, model Nicole Hunt--she also has a link to the very kind kissncuz's gorgeous concert photos from Bucky, Jason Michael Carroll and Cole Deggs' Raisin' the Bar concert in Corpus Christi. (If you're part of Bucky's official fan club, you'll also find kissncuz' recap on the Road board.) Thanks to Kathy and kissncuz for sharing the fun!

A concertgoer at TWoP
had exceedingly positive things to say about Bucky's show last night in Katy, Texas at Mo's Place:

I don't want to go on and on, but I'm just wondering one thing: When did Bucky go to "Super Star" school?

I don't like to boast, but I'm lucky enough to go to national-act concerts quite often, all genres of music. Bucky Covington's show was so energetic, so fabulous. With his gravely sexy perfect vocals and excellent band, I would expect to see him next headlining at an arena.

Tonight the stage was small, and there was not a good way for the band to get to there. There is an emergency exit door not too far from the stage and a rent-a-guard and the rather short owner, Mo, took Bucky in through the packed crowd. The guard had already taken Rocky and the band through. I was inches from him when he passed by me. Who does his grooming? Definitely an expert. The hair, the complexion, those eyebrows and mustache, his stylish outfit on that lean body... he looked like a model, but still somehow Bucky.

The poster also noted that radio station KILT was there for the show--no photos now, but there might be some great ones added to their galleries later today or early this week...

And our friend AmaTexMom had very high praise for Bucky's stop at Mo's Place, too: "Another great, great show. We were able to get more pictures. It was harder because of the place and the bigger crowd. Yeah. They rocked it down!" Thank you so much, AmaTexMom-- can't wait to hear all about it and see your beautiful shots!

Edited to add a little more from AmaTexMom: "One different thing was Bucky and the band sang happy birthday to a lady dressed so cute in a costume with blinking lights that said 'over the hill' (40) bikini top. We saw lots of neat halloween costumes. One was a beer can. We saw Superman and Wonderwoman when we were leaving. Bucky sang the 'Happy Birthday' song with 'hope you get some tonight' on the end and he added 'cake and ice cream'. He said 'I am cake and Rocky is ice cream'. It was so cute and a little different. Bucky did a great job!"

Edited again to link to Jeano222's fun recap in the Bucky Covington fan thread at AmericanIdol.com. Huge thanks to all the kind concertgoers who've shared the excitement!

"It's Good to Be Us", Bucky's new single, is wrapping up the weekend at #36 on the Mediabase weighted chart and #35 on the Top 500, with a couple of bullets that could use some major plumping-up. Keep requesting Bucky's latest tune on at your favorite local or streaming country station, get ready for another week of local "Top X at X" countdowns, and be sure to call those syndicated country radio shows, too!

We'll wind down with a couple of TV reminders; Bucky and Jason Michael Carroll's Halloween visit to GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown repeats tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET, and Bucky and Jason will also be part of GAC's On the Streets on October 30th (repeat airtimes here.) Feel free to write in a vote for "It's Good to Be Us" on on GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown ballot, too...

More later--have a lovely Sunday!
