Monday news: "It's Good to Be Us" video, new Lakeside clips, Foothills photos and more...

By request, a bit of summertime fun. Bucky Covington sings from the heart at the KNCI Country in the Park concert in Sacramento; photo by the very talented Minnie, who shares more of her stunning images from the performance in her Photobucket gallery. Thanks again, Minnie! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered through his official site or via his official fan club.

How about a bit of brand new video to start off the week? A kind videographer has posted two fresh clips from Bucky Covington's Saturday performance at the KSON Country Fest in Lakeside this past Saturday at YouTube--the longer one's here and a short, sweet one's right here. And over at Photobucket, Buckyfannc shares some beautiful images from the Foothills Fall Festival concert; her five-page gallery is filled with sunny shots of Bucky, Rocky, Shaun, Hans and Don doing what they do best. Enjoy!

Good news on the TV and internet front--Bucky's brand new music video for "it's Good to Be Us" is set to make its online debut tomorrow, Tuesday 10/23 at CMT.com's Loaded. Look for it on AOL and Yahoo Music on Wednesday 10/24. Bucky will appear on GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown on Friday, 10/26th, and he'll introduce the video on CMT's Top 20 Countdown on Thursday, November 1st. Yep, lots of dates to remember there, but here's the big one for TV fans--the video for "It's Good to be Us" will be added to both GAC 's and CMT's Pure Country video lineups on Thursday, October 25th. Once it's added, of course, we'll be checking those ballots for our next chance to vote Bucky's new video into the stratosphere. (GAC's countdown ballot offers a write-in option--feel free to let them know you love it after it debuts.) Congratulations to all of Bucky's fans who were a part of the video shoot...we're hoping to catch a glimpse of you this week!

And the single continues its steady climb up the charts today--"It's Good to Be Us" begins the morning with a hop to #36 on the Mediabase weighted chart, and to #34 on the Top 500. (Yes, we do have that Top 30 milestone--and beyond--on our minds. The higher the single is on the charts, the sweeter his introduction as presenter on the CMA awards will be.)

We've got a little time to help make a big impact! Request "It's Good to Be Us" at your favorite local or streaming country station, keep your local "Top X at X" ballot handy, remember tonight's syndicated shows, and give him some love at WKML today with a request at country@wkml.com (online listeners welcome). Tune into WMKL's "Top 5 at 6" tonight at 6 p.m. ET to see how he's doing in beautiful Fayetteville.

Speaking of radio, there are some very good incentives for you to join your local country station's Loyal Listener club now. Many stations are promoting the Raisin' the Bar tour with contests, special events and more, and the best way to find out about them is to hop on that mailing list today. For example, check out this great giveaway at KILT in Houston: "Register for your chance to win 2 passes to Raisin' The Bar Tour at Mo's Place, plus meet and greet American Idol's Bucky Covington and Jason Michael Carroll, October 27th at Mo's Place."

And Tulsa's KVOO is also offering chances to win: "opportunity to point you in the direction of our Tour Info section on the sidebar--you'll find a Raisin' the Bar tour schedule, complete with venue and ticket links, and lots of other handy information. Bucky Covington, Jason Michael Carroll and Cole Deggs & the Lonesome are three very fast-rising acts, and this tour will be our first and last chance to see them up close and personal on the same bill. You'll want those bragging rights later, I guarantee you....

Back with more news soon--have a great Monday!

  2. Anon, I have to admit that is a very good question! Let me rephrase--"I've heard them do it twice now, and they do it very, very well indeed..." :)
