Quick Saturday news: new podcast interview, chartgazing and more...

Bucky Covington (with Don Medlock on bass) in concert in State College, Pennsylvania; photo by Happydays. Click the image to see more of her beautiful shots from that show. Thanks again, Happydays! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

Bucky Covington was interviewed by Dan and Dingo at WDRM in celebration of his performance tomorrow at the Big Spring Jam in Huntsville--the station's kindly provided a podcast version here for your listening pleasure. Due to my usual tech limitations (sigh), I haven't heard this one yet, but the blurb on that page mentions...lawnmower racing? Something tells me Bucky cracked up that morning crew in style--bet he'll crack you up this morning, too. Enjoy! (A big thanks to space2006 for the kind heads-up.)

For those with flexible plans (and a taste for fun!) here are the details on tomorrow's Jam performance:

Sunday, 09/30/2007

Some of Bucky's very kind camera-carrying, recap-writing fans will be there for this one--we're looking forward to lots of great memories from the concert. Stay tuned!

And in chart news, Bucky Covington's "It's Good to Be Us" continues its friendly battle with the next song over for that #39 spot. This morning, Bucky's got it--#39 on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts, with bullets. Keep requesting "It's Good to Be Us" at your favorite local or streaming country station, and give your favorite syndicated weekend radio show a call, too...

We'll close now with a look at Bucky's official MySpace blog, where the comments section on that blog entry with the Hazard stage-view shots has been growing; Page 2 features some nice photos (and a funny story) from the show by a concertgoer who had a good time chatting with Rocky at the end of the evening. And the "concert photos and memories" post there is still going strong, in case you'd like to browse--or contribute! Last but not at all least, voting for the banner contest ends tomorrow--get your vote in soon.

Have a stellar Saturday!

a funny podcast. Bucky said he would skydive before scuba diving. He's not too fond of sharks. the DJ said 'yeh, shark week on Discovery Channel spoiled it for everyone.'
    the lawnmower story was hilarious!
He is performing at 5:45 p.m. Sunday at the Big Spring Jam. What a lineup of stars. wow.
rock bands & country. 3 days, 5 stages, 60 bands. amazing.

  2. Thanks for the recap, Pogo! Sounds like that was a hoot, as usual--Bucky's interviews are always a good time. The Jam sounds like a truly impressive event--can't wait for those reviews and photos. Have a great Saturday!

Hi, hubby and I are headed to Huntsville tomorrow for the Big Spring Jam (name of place not the season). We are staying to hear Taylor Swift and LeAnn Rimes who follow him, respectively. I have a meet and greet with Bucky..hubby does not , but I hope he saves our good seats while I chat with Bucky.
Hope to send good pics and a recap. Of course, one of our fave Bucky Fan photographers will be there too!! So funny about Bucky not being fond of scuba diving..that is what my screen name refers too!!

  4. Buckyflowers, you are going to have such a good time. That lineup really is terrific--something for everyone, and Taylor and LeeAnn are definitely worth staying for.

(And I thought you might be a scuba diver from that nickname--have never tried it but it looks like fun! Bucky might learn to love it--who knows what tomorrow might bring. :)

Have a rockin' time at the Jam, and you know we're looking forward to hearing all about it!
