While I was looking up radio information for a future "follow-up single etiquette" post, I found these beautiful shots from Bucky's Country USA performance in Wisconsin and thought "why wait?" Enjoy some mid-morning photo goodness (and here's that official concert schedule, in case you'd like to see Bucky do his thing live and in person.) Gotta love this one--and don't miss the great profile shot that was on its own on the previous page.
Here's a link to the CMT Loaded clip from Bucky's Idol Camp visit--this is the full interview. If that link doesn't work, go to CMT Loaded's main page--under the "Featured" tab, click on "Browse Shows", then "CMT Insider". It's the second video listed, dated 8-11-07. Big thanks to the_mumbler for passing this along!
Thanks also to Marzy and Honeygirl for this intriguing bit of future news, via Leann Swift's MySpace blog:
SWIFT, SUGARLAND AND COVINGTON JOIN BIG PROMOTION
Taylor Swift joins Sugarland, Bucky Covington and Joe Nichols as the four featured artists in a joint promotion with Denny's, Coca-Cola and GAC. In the promotion, running October 8th through November 14th, Denny's will be creating a special promotion menu with messaging along the lines of "Purchase any of these Coca-Cola meals and receive a free song download and be entered to win a VIP country music experience." When customers purchase one of the meals they will receive a redemption card directing them to a Denny's promotion specific micro site where downloads can be redeemed. Special VIP Grand Prizes will allow winners access to great seats at the featured artists concerts and a chance to introduce them onstage.
So far, the blog is the only reference there is to this upcoming promotion--the press release hasn't turned up anywhere else online, but we'll be on the lookout for more information as October grows closer...
And Cindy Wright graciously shares some beautiful video from Bucky's nearly rained-out Ross County Fair show at Associated Content. Bucky refused to let the fans down, and he and the band performed an impromptu acoustic set in the stands. (She's posted a great article about her day at the fair here; there's also a brief piece about the storm-tossed show at GAC.) Thanks to Marzy for sending the link, and to Cindy for sharing. More later!--Winnie
