Quick Saturday news: Mountain Days Festival tonight and more...(updated)

Bucky Covington and Don Medlock (on bass) charm the audience at the State Theatre in State College, Pennsylvania, 8/11; photo courtesy of the very kind Happydays. Click the image to enjoy her Photobucket album of shots from the show. Thanks again, Happy!
Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered through his official site or via his official fan club.

It's a very quiet Saturday morning--so quiet, in fact, that the main news post will turn up in this spot this afternoon! However, there is a little activity on the Mediabase charts; Bucky's long-lasting and lovely hit debut single "A Different World" holds onto its Top Five spot on the weighted chart this morning, and moves up one notch to #6 on the Top 500. (We'll repeat our long-lasting hit reminder here, too--keep requesting "A Different World" at your favorite local and streaming country stations, y'all! And of course, a good word for Bucky at GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown and CMT's Top Twenty Countdown is a lovely thing...)

Bucky, Rocky, Don, Hans and Shaun will be the musical headliners at the Mountain Days Festival near Dayton, Ohio today at 5:30 p.m. on the festival's Country Stage; for a look at the complete entertainment schedule, check out the festival's site. (Sounds like a fun weekend of music!) Here are the details:

Edited to add a link to this fun recap from last night's Milwaukee Zoo show--thanks to lovincon for sharing her great time, and to the kind anonymous commenter who posted the link. And there's good news on the conference call front, also--the very gracious Hildi has arranged a call from Bucky's Mountain Days show this evening at about 5:30 p.m. ET, and Lisa/letusjudge will be your kind hostess. We'll post details here closer to showtime, or check comments for the numbers and log on to BuckyCovington.com later to find out when to join the call. (Thanks for the news, Bunny!)

Back with more a little later--enjoy your Saturday!
