Monday news: chart cheers, photo goodness, and a bit of Mountain Fest fun

Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club.

This just in: Bucky will be performing at the WGAR Country Jam on September 7th near Cleveland, Ohio. Information will be available at the WGAR site later today. Congratulations (and yes!)

Here's some excellent news to start off an avid chartwatcher's Monday morning--Bucky Covington's "A Different World" climbed to #12 on the Mediabase weighted chart and #13 on the Top 500, and those bullets are getting plumper. Could this be the week that sweet Top Ten dream becomes reality? It's looking very, very doable indeed. No one can say that Bucky's got anything less than outrageous support! Huge thanks to everyone who's made a request, cast a vote or called your local DJ. We'll say it again...keep requesting "A Different World" at your favorite local and streaming country stations, and remember to stop in at CMT's Top 20 Countdown and GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown and give Bucky's video a little love, too.

In tour news, there's a nice gallery of photos from the B93 Birthday Bash posted at the station's site, and a fun recap from the Mountain Country Music Festival just hit the 'net:

But we did manage to catch the end of Bucky Covington, who I have to say really surprised me! He was actually VERY entertaining and was ALL about the crowd, which I frickin' love. He wasn't prepared to do an encore, but the crowd kept chanting his name so finally he came back out and he goes, 'I done gave away all my picks!' I just love the termanology lol Anyway, he sang Sweet Home Alabama and ran out into the crowd. AWESOME.

Sounds like Bucky, Rocky, Don Hans and Shaun had a very good weekend--and so did the crowd. Bucky's tour resumes on the 29th, with an appearance with Sawyer Brown at the Idaho Center Ampitheatre in beautful Boise. Click here to see when the party gets started near you.

The Hits Daily Double album sales estimates will get rolling for the week at approximately 7:30 a.m. Pacific, with the final estimates posted tomorrow afternoon. Last week, Bucky's CD held on to its beautiful #9 spot on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, with an impressive 24% increase in sales from the week before. It'll be fun to see what the new week brings. Stay tuned...

More later today--have a beautiful Monday morning!
