Friday news: goin' to Jackson, a sharp dressed man and more...

Thanks! By request, Bucky Covington looking sharp-dressed in a promo photo from earlier this year. (Thanks!) Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered while supplies last at his official site or via his official fan club.

As we mentioned late yesterday, a friend tipped us off to a Bucky Covington fashion feature in the current issue of Country Weekly. Among the tidbits she shared was this quote from Bucky: "I like to feel comfortable, no matter if I am onstage or just doing press." (The caption goes on to read "Comfort looks pretty dang good here...") She also mentioned that he's sporting $2000 boots in one of the two full-length fashion photos. Sounds like fun! The issue is on newsstands now--look for George Strait (another sharp-dressed man--can there ever be too many?) on the cover.

Bucky's looking pretty dang good on the charts, too--he's moved up a notch to #12 (!) on the Mediabase weighted chart this morning, and retains his #13 position on the Top 500. As always, request "A Different World" at your favorite local and streaming country stations, and keep thinking of that sweet Top Ten spot, and how very close Bucky is to getting there...

As of post time, the lucky fans in Jackson, TN can still look forward to a good house-rocking by Bucky, Rocky, Don, Hans and Shaun at the Carl Perkins Civic Center on Sunday; Bucky's Boise show tonight was cancelled due to his recent emergency dental surgery, but it looks as though he'll be back on stage this weekend. We'll keep you posted on any possible changes; in the meantime, you can snag a ticket to the show (which includes the "West Tennessee Idol" finals) online right here. Head on over to Bucky's official site for his concert schedule, and make plans to catch him when he's in your neck of the woods.

We'll close for now with a very handy link for video fans and concert-clip lovers. Trooker.com is a great tool for rounding up videos from several sites--YouTube, Live Video and MySpace among them--and putting them in one place for easy viewing, sharing or embedding. Typing "Bucky Covington" into the search box might lead you to a fun fan video clip or two you may have missed along the way. And Lisa/Judge's Bucky Covington Channel on Go Fish is a must-visit, too--there's lots of excellent concert footage on the menu. If you have a long time to wait before the tour bus stops in your backyard (I feel your pain--is it September yet?) these great videos will give you a taste of what's in store. Bucky's live show is hotter than a pepper sprout...enjoy!

And the beautiful video for "A Different World" is always a treat, online and on TV; be sure to vote for it at CMT Top 20 Countdown and GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown.

(Edited to add some good news from comments--a kind fan shared word from Bucky's family that he's "doing fine" and recovering nicely after his dental surgery a couple of days ago. Sounds like he'll be back at full speed by Sunday night. Thanks so much to both family and fan for the update!)

Edited again to add a link to Yes.com, where you can give Bucky's single a fun thumbs-up in real time as it plays on radio stations nationwide, including yours. The site also offers links to streaming stations. Log in, listen up, vote for Bucky and have a blast!

More soon--have a fantastic Friday...

$2000 boots? Bucky has "gone Hollywood"!

  2. Well, he's modeling Hollywood-style, for sure--I haven't seen the article yet, so I don't know if he bought the boots or they were only on his feet for the shoot. I'm looking forward to seeing what 1K-per-foot cowboy boots look like, though!

Does Bucky buy custom made cowboy boots or off the rack? I was thinking of buying a pair and wondered where he has them made.
