Bucky Covington took a break to smile for the cameras while signing autographs at the WXTU 23rd Anniversary concert on 6/9; photo by our friend Citronella, who had a great time at the show. Click here to enjoy her beautiful Flickr photoset.
Bucky Covington's first CMA Fest was well-received--and well-covered--by both fans and the press alike. He's the lead-off interviewee in this USA Today story about the festival. Bucky had a wild schedule, but got quite a bit done in a short period of time, as you'll read.
And I think you'll want to see this beautiful full page portrait of a very tanned Bucky right now. (Bonus--the page includes a link to video from the photo shoot!) Go look, but be sure to come on back...
There's more photographic goodness on the very early Monday menu, too--our friend Citronella was there for Bucky's performance in Philadelphia Saturday, and she shares her Flickr photoset from the day here. The all-day, multi-artist party must have been a blast for the performers and the audience, judging from those great shots. Thanks so much, Citronella!
The very kind BuckWild08 has both photos and video from Bucky's Thursday Riverfront performance at CMA Fest coming soon--we're holding this spot for the links, and they'll be posted here as soon as they're ready. (Can't wait to see them--thanks for the heads-up and congratulations on that front-row spot!)
And a bit of bonus visual delight wraps things up for now--Kathy at Team Covington has just unveiled a brand new look for her blog, and it is lovely. Go have a look, and while you're there, check out her update on Bucky's MySpace contest winners, as well as a message from his blog that's a must-read.
Finally, a note (and a nag) about Sunday evening's Mediabase numbers--the good news is that "A Different World" bounced up to #13 on the weighted chart! The other news is that it's holding a very slim bullet at the moment--every request really does count, y'all. Keep requesting Bucky at your favorite local and streaming country stations, and let's see if we can put a little more heft on that bullet this week. (We've been climbing since January and we're this close to Top Ten--two spaces! With such a clear view of that sweet mountain top, why not go for it?)
(Edited to add a link to the Bucky Truck Stop at Rawkhands--very freshly updated and as fun as always...)
More very soon!
