Evening news: Jimmy Kimmel Live--it's official

By request, a blast from the past-- Bucky Covington in concert, summer 2006; photo by the very talented DeniseBernadette. Bucky's music video is now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be pre-ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

Just a quick look around the scene this early evening:

Googling "Bucky Covington" today brings an interesting ad in the "sponsored links" sidebar--and upon clicking it and heading to DoYouJimmy.com, it's safe to say that the rumored 4/19 mini-concert on Jimmy Kimmel Live is rumor no more. Bucky is listed as the musical guest for the April 19th show on this ABC-sponsored site; it'll be an awesome network showcase, just two days after his CD is released on April 17th. (If you have some friends who haven't seen Bucky since his Idol days, make sure they tune in, and tell them to be prepared to be blown away--chances are good that they'll be joining you at your neighborhood music retailer the next morning...)

There's quite a bit of immediate TV buzz happening, too; Bucky's featured on the main CMT Shows page (you can catch the remaining airtimes for his Top 20 Countdown visit here) and he'll be featured on tonight's GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown at 9 p.m. ET (repeat airtimes here).

And in message board news, the Bucky Truck Stop is freshly updated with lots of up to date Bucky goodness. (Get over there now, and huge thanks to Sunscreen at Rawkhands for all the fun!) There's also a newly-updated tour schedule at CMT--you can find the full version at Bucky's official site.

Otherwise, it's pretty quiet now--but as usual, it's merely the calm before the party. Bucky's very first Grand Ole Opry appearance happened March 9th, but his televised Opry debut is tomorrow night on GAC, and the anticipation is growing! Stay tuned for more coverage of the big day ahead...and while we're waiting, there's always time for a request. Cast your vote for "A Different World" with a phone call to your favorite evening DJ, and enjoy the music.

More soon!
