Bucky Covington's at home on Lyric Street

Excellent news via Team Covington this morning--Kathy reports that Bucky Covington has been added to the Lyric Street Records homepage. Be sure to click through to his artist page, where you'll find a newly revised and enhanced version of his biography (with more info about his musical influences and history), the video for "A Different World", a photo gallery, links to his official site and MySpace, a track listing for his 4/17 debut CD, and coming soon--ringtones. Huge thanks to Kathy for sharing the good word!

Edited to add even more great news from Mediabase: Bucky's single got a nice bump upstairs to #25 on the Top 500 and #26 on the weighted chart this morning. Congratulations to Bucky--keep requesting! Back with a full post soon--Winnie

I don't know if anyone realizes this but Bucky's CD is going to be released the same day that they are having "country night" on Idol with Martina McBride. I'm sure he won't get any voluntary gratuitous plugs from TPTB, but it would be cool if he were in the audience. I would think there's a good chance that Ryan would acknowledge him and then he could fit the plug in himself. ;)

  2. Hi, Anon...I agree. Hey, news of Bucky's CD on Idol's country night would be just about perfect. Not sure if it would happen, but heaven knows it'd be a blessing!

Interesting. Makes me wonder if the A team at Lyric Street planned the timing or if it is just coincidental? They really seem to know what they're doing on every little detail.

It *is* really coincidental. No matter what happens as far as the live show goes, perhaps the timing is genius on their part. Country night itself would likely remind more casual viewers of formal country Idol contestants which in turn might motivate them to see what's going on with said contestants. Or perhaps I'm just spending far too much time thinking about this when I really should be working on other things right now. Sigh.

Bucky's schedule looks open for that day, so it surely WOULD be a nice thing to see him in LA for Country Night. Let's hope it happens.
