Bucky Covington performing at the Wildhorse Saloon during the "Live from CRS-38" showcase on 3/1; photo by the very kind Happydays. Thanks so much! (You can see more of her great shots from Nashville here.) Bucky's new music video is now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace.
Edited to add a last call for Pick or Flick votes at CMT.com; "A Different World" is the challenger this week, and depending on when you're reading this, there might still be time to give Bucky a boost. Click here for the FAQ on this text message only poll--or if you're familiar with the Pick or Flick routine, just text the word PICK to 72430 and follow the prompts. The winning video will be featured on next week's CMT Top 20 Countdown as champion. (Standard rates apply, 99 cents per vote.)
Sunday starts with those great country radio countdown shows--and they're a lot more enjoyable now that Bucky's "A Different World" is part of the fun! Be sure to catch Kix Brooks and American Country Countdown , Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40 and the Crook & Chase Countdown this week; check Radiotime and Radio-Locator for stations carrying the countdowns near you.
Speaking of radio, remember way back in the olden days (otherwise known as "the American Idol tour") , when we mentioned that signing up for those Loyal Listener's Clubs at your local station's website could pay off in a big way? Here's an example--WFMS in Indianapolis is sponsoring a big Country Music Expo April 14th and 15th at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, and Bucky Covington is listed as one of the artists on the bill; "Gold Circle" tickets went on sale yesterday and are available at good old Ticketmaster. But if you're one of the Indy-area residents who signed up for the WFMS newsletter, your tickets went on sale February 28th.
Festival season is just around the corner, y'all. Bucky could be singin' in the sunshine on a stage near you this spring and summer--and if your local country radio station has sponsored concert festivals in the past, it's really time to sign up for that prime spam. Those who haven't seen Bucky in concert yet are in for a major treat--and those of us who have will definitely want to get advance notice of when those tickets go on sale.
Wondering where Bucky will turn up next? Bookmark the tour page at Bucky's official site and the Upcoming Shows page at the official MySpace for the latest. (A big thanks to the very kind BuckyCrazed for the Indianapolis info. Have fun at the show!)
More very soon...
Boy! That is one heck of a line-up at the Expo in IN. Whew!
ReplyDeleteI am back lol Just saw on Yes.com this station is playing Bucky---do you get that one?

That's my local! They were playing him on the countdown, though; he's not on the playlist yet. But I am crossing my fingers for this week... :)
ReplyDeleteYou are right--that Expo list is impressive!
Where does Bucky place in the countdowns??

ReplyDeleteThanks, Happydays! (Apologies for missing your question, anon...my PC decided to explode this morning and I'm just now getting back online.)
ReplyDeleteOh! I am sure they will add it to the playlist soon!
