Starting off Saturday...

Bucky Covington in a brand-new promo photo from a recent photoshoot; click image to visit his MySpace and see more. Bucky's new music video is now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be pre-ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

Here's a fun way to start off your Saturday morning--Bucky's recent appearance at The New 92 in Columbia was very well chronicled, with 14 pages of photos in a Smugmug gallery. Happy browsing!

It's a quiet St. Patrick's day so far--but tonight, things heat up in Portland, Oregon, where Bucky will be performing at Dukes. Here's a repeat of the blurb from the KWJJ events page:

99.5 the Wolf is bringing Bucky Covington to Dukes for a huge St. Paddy's day party on March 17th at 9 p.m. Bucky Covington is a season 5 American Idol finalist. Come party with the Wolf as Dukes throws down the biggest St. Paddy's day party! Plenty of free parking & only $5 gets you in! All proceeds go to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Tickets are on sale now at Dukes: 503-760-1400.

A great way to celebrate a party-hearty holiday! We'll keep an eye out for recaps, photos and more; so stay tuned...

Meanwhile, those of us who aren't lucky enough to be out West tonight still have the option of enjoying Bucky on CMT and GAC; the CMT Pure Country Pure 12-Pack video countdown and GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown are open for voting, and the third and final Pick or Flick challenge for "A Different World" is in progress. (See the show's page for voting details; standard text rates apply, 99 cents per vote.)

And after you've voted, why not reward yourself with a little taste of video sweetness? Just enough there to leave you wanting more... (Huge thanks to the kind anonymous fan who sent this link!)

Finally, we're exactly one month away from the release of Bucky's debut CD! You can pre-order an autographed copy of Bucky Covington right from his official site, or sign up for his street team (free) or fan club (very reasonably priced), and join the fun.

More later today!

I have been keeping an eye on Bucky's Amazon ranking. It is nice to see Bucky under the 1000 mark. Lately everyday he is there. Right now he is sitting at 766. He does jump up into the 2000's but I can handle that more than when he was 24,000.
Sorry, I just thought I would let you know he seems to be doing alright

  4. Hi, Anon! No need to apologize for good news--thank you for sharing it! :)

I think the Amazon rankings are a fun way to get an very general idea of how much interest there is in an upcoming CD. With the new offer of an autographed version on the official site, we may see some traffic going there instead of Amazon, but on the other hand, Bucky's upcoming R&K TV appearance will remind a lot of people how much they liked him...so there may be a spike at Amazon, too. Hard to know what floats the numbers over there on any given day--but very good to know his ranking's moving up. Thanks so much!
