Bucky Covington in a brand-new promo photo from a recent photoshoot; visit his MySpace to see more. Bucky's new music video is now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be pre-ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.Bucky's latest USAToday.com diary is up and posted--at the end of the last installment, he mentioned looking forward to telling us about his Regis and Kelly experience. Hop over there and get the behind-the-scenes scoop on his trip to New York, a very corny/sweet joke, and much more! And let Bucky know how much you're enjoying his memories--leave him a message in the comments section and thank him for the smile you're bound to have on your face by the time you get to the end of the diary entry....
That very cool Circuit City exclusive Bucky Covington interview disc we wrote about a few posts ago is only a day away--Tim McGraw's latest CD hits the shelves tomorrow, and the eight- minute "behind the scenes" DVD interview from the set of the music video for "A Different World" is being offered as a bonus. Be sure to "fly away" to your local Circuit City store on Tuesday and enjoy Bucky and Tim! (Spending your "last dollar" is optional.)
And while you're shopping, pick up this week's Country Weekly at your newsstand--the 4/9 issue features a gorgeous Carrie Underwood cover, as well as a life-story-so-far article entitled "Bucky's Day", illustrated with a couple of nice photos taken on the set of his video and a fun shot of Bucky with producer and mentor Mark Miller.
"A Different World" is picking up some lovely chart momentum these days; the Sunday p.m. Mediabase Top 500 and weighted rankings marked its first foray into the twenty-something ranks, at #28 and #29 respectively. If your local country station is one of the many that have recently added Bucky to the playlist, call and give them a some positive feedback; and if you haven't heard him in your hometown yet, call, request, and let them know you'd like to! It would be wonderful to keep that momentum going strong all week long...
Bucky's heading up the video charts, as well--vote for "A Different World" on the CMT Pure Country Pure 12-Pack video countdown and on GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown and you can give him a boost on TV, too. And today's CMT's Power Picks will feature Bucky's clip in a live video challenge against Brooks and Dunn; the show begins at 3 p.m. ET, and the voting fun will last for an hour.

MySpace users have not one but two enjoyable events to enjoy on Bucky's official MySpace at the moment; there's an ongoing Top Friends promotion (read the details at Bucky's MySpace blog) and a just-announced request for your "burning questions", which will be answered in a Q&A on April 17th. Lots of excellent questions are posted already--can't wait to hear Bucky's replies! (Add Bucky as a MySpace friend and join his street team or fan club to stay in the know; there are bound to be even more surprises in the works...)
Finally, here's a graceful "thank you" to the station where it all began--an email to country@wkml.com requesting "A Different World" for the WKML "Top 5 at 6" is a nice way to start the week. Listen in at 6 p.m. ET to see where Bucky lands on the countdown, and enjoy DJ Larry's sweet Carolina-style hospitality!
More very soon...

Thanks for any info.
Hi, Anon! The GAC voting page has been giving people trouble for quite a few days now...looks like there's a conflict in the code of the little ad on top of the page and code of the page itself. If you have the Firefox or Mozilla browsers installed on your PC, try voting with those--they seem to work better than IE with the GAC page right now. And if that still doesn't work, someone suggested using the email address at the bottom of the page to do a write-in style vote for Bucky.
ReplyDeleteHope they get the page fixed soon! Good luck and thanks for stopping in...
Can't wait to get that DVD tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteOh the Country Weekly article is fabulous! And they picked out some beautiful shots of Bucky to include.
