Bucky Covington in a brand-new promo photo from a recent photoshoot; visit his MySpace to see more. Bucky's new music video is now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. An autographed copy of Bucky Covington can be pre-ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.A few mid-day odds and ends:
Remember that Spokane writer/blogger who got a spontaneous (and great) interview with Bucky last week? He's very kindly posted the interview footage at You Tube--enjoy!
Bucky's performance at Live with Regis and Kelly was a wonderful way to start the day; he did a semi-acoustic, stripped-down version of "A Different World", and in a fun bonus for us, sang the show out with a bit of "I'm Good". (I think that was the first time we've seen someone hold up the physical version of Bucky's CD cover on live TV, too--nothing like a solid plastic case to underscore the fact that the release date really is just around the corner...) As we mentioned earlier, a few of Bucky's New York fans were there to cheer him on; Buckybee greeted Bucky at Elliott Yamin's Virgin Megastore appearance yesterday, and Peg has just posted a sweet recap of her day at Live with Regis and Kelly. You'll find both posts at the AmericanIdol.com Bucky fan thread, and there'll probably be much more as the day rolls on. Thanks to Bucky's New York fans for the Big Apple memories!
Moving from the Empire State to cyberspace--if you're a MySpace user, there's a fun promotion happening right now on Bucky's space that deserves your attention. Sign up for his newsletter or hop on over to the official Bucky Covington MySpace blog to get all the details on how you can become one of his (rotating) Top Friends, and get lots of those cool street team points in the process...
Fianlly, a couple of TV notes: Bucky's video airs at about 5:17 ET on GAC this evening, and looking out for it on CMT's Power Picks from 3-4 p.m. ET is a good habit to get into as well. You never know just where he'll turn up!
More later...
Wow, he was really great! I was happy to hear a bit of I'm Good, too - love that song also.
ReplyDeleteHe has such a wonderful ease about him when he
interacts with the hosts , etc too.
It was good to see him 'live' again - this is probably going to sound corny, but I think he really
has this light that shines out of him when he performs that you can feel, and just makes you feel good! I havent met him, so I dont know if thats
true in Meet and greets, too. I hope he gets the same feeling back from us fans!
I cant wait to see him in Seattle!
Have agood day Winnie, and thanks for all the good work!
Chan
YEA!!! so far 366 on Amazon. I hope this keeps up

Hi Winnie,
ReplyDeleteTwo Bucky encounters in one week and it didn't involve flying or driving, how cool is that. Seeing him perform "I'm Good" live was such a treat. I am exhausted and ready to head home. Hopefully, I will post some pics from outside the studio on my flickr site tonight.
Carol
PS: I really enjoyed meeting Pizzi. She is a doll and I was so happy she got to meet Bucky AND win $500 worth of lobsters. I wonder if Bucky considers lobsters part of the "done up menus" foods?
I am so excited Pizzi got to meet him!! Winnie check your inbox-- ask and ye shall receive from Lyric lol the answer to your cce question. :)
ReplyDeleteWith the daylight savings change in NC and not here I can catch the countdown again...so was lovely just now hearing the Bucky on it. And well I still <3 Larry. He talked about how Bucky did a "great job" on Live with Regis & Kelly this morning. "A Different World" :D
ReplyDeleteHaha...Larry is on the ball with the Bucky dish too...after the song he mentioned Bucky got to hang out a bit with his "old buddy Elliot Yamin" while in New York City. :)
ReplyDeleteWhew! Tough tech week--how are y'all!
ReplyDeleteChan, hello there! It's always good to see you. :) It was great to see Bucky "live" after all this time, wasn't it? You are so right about that light, and it doesn't sound corny at all. He looks (and I suspect he is) abundantly happy about the way life is going right now. And yes--I've only met him twice and very briefly, but I can vouch for that joy being part of his real-life atmposhere, too!
Thanks for the Amazon news, Anon! Love the number... :)
Beesims, I am so happy and excited for you, Pizzi and Irma--and how much fun is that prize! I bet she was grinning from ear to ear. (Sure, it's done-up food, but everyone's gotta do a little "done-up" once in a while... ;)
Kathy, hi--I checked and thanks! So glad Lyric Street is there for us with the real info. I'm going to post the scoop ASAP.
Anon, you gotta love Larry...I suspect he is every bit as happy for Bucky as we all are. Thank you for the countdown info!
