The calm before the party, 2.0

See Bucky Covington tonight at the "Live From CRS-38" showcase at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville; click here for tickets. Bucky's video for "A Different World" is now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace.

(Edited to add a brief but nice mention of Bucky at the Grand Ole Opry site today; he's part of an article on current country performers who got their biggest break on national TV, along with Chris Young and Carrie Underwood. The article mentions Bucky's April 7th performance, but his first Opry appearance happens a week from tomorrow, March 9th, when he'll be part of a Friday night show with Ralph Stanley, Michael Martin Murphey, Del McCoury, Ricky Skaggs and Mike Snider. Click here for ticket info, and enjoy Bucky Covington on country's classic stage!)

So far, there's a quiet start to a day that'll end with a lot of joyful noise--Bucky's performance at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville tonight will be a rave up to remember. If you've got last minute plans to go, check here for tickets; if you'll be there in spirit like the rest of us, hop over to Bucky's thread at the Fox message boards for details on a possible conference call this evening, live from the Wildhorse. We'll update throughout the day...

Other than that, we've got a few voting reminders for you--a daily vote at GAC Top 20 Country Countdown and a "Top 5 at 6" request for "A Different World" at country@wkml.com are fun ways to give Bucky some far away "applause" as he gets ready for his first-ever Nashville showcase.

More very soon!
