Neat tidbit: (Edited at the request of a kind Elliott Yamin fan--Elliott's fans, be sure to check out the podcast for an interesting quote about Elliott and Simon Fuller, see note in comments, and thanks for stopping in!) The studio version of "It's Good to be Us" and an acoustic and sweet "I'm Good" were part of the show--the DJs seemed to enjoy it, too. Wonder if this means our requests are going to bear a bit more fruit in the days ahead?
The Mantel and Michelle show has a podcast page--chances are good you'll find Bucky's interview there
Edited to add a note for those of you in Toledo--K100 (no stream, unfortunately) hopes to interview Bucky sometime today before his show at Shawn's Irish Tavern. Here's hoping his tour bus gets into town early enough for that to take place! Also, a local listener adds that the DJ who played one of the cuts from Bucky's new CD today called the album "phenomenal". Sounds good, doesn't it? Keep those requests coming, y'all. (Big thanks to Becky for the news.)
Thanks, Winnie, I will check it later. By the time I stopped in here this morning and got the live stream going, I just missed Bucky! This is the only place I saw the interview mentioned. I can't wait to hear "It's Good to Be Us"!
ReplyDeleteBucky's up to #28 on Radio and Records (www.radioandrecords.com) today for the 3/30 chart, which I believe officially reports to Billboard. Yay!
ReplyDeleteDid any kind soul get a capture of "It's Good To Be Us"?
Hi, Moondancer! Laurianne is the real heroine today--she sent an email to share the news that Bucky was right in our vicinity this morning. "It's Good to Be Us" is wonderful--it's going to be awesome, flying down the highway with that tune turned up as the weather gets warmer. Can't wait!:)
ReplyDeleteAnon, thanks for the great chartnews--love the twenty-something spot! Chances are excellent that "It's Good to Be Us" will be part of Bucky's radio interviews from this point on, so stay tuned... :)
This just in.. Bucky will be on Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40 this weekend. Sorry if this is old news but I just heard it on WKML.
ReplyDeleteNope, not old news at all and thank you so much, Anon! I'll add that to the next update--appreciate your kindness!
ReplyDeleteWinnie Bucky was just on K100 99.9 his song anyway .But they are going to interview him later to day if his bus gets in to Toledo early enough.Plus the Dj said she thought his CD was phenomenal.Becky excited in Ohio
ReplyDeleteThanks, Becky! I'm adding that to the radio post right now, and it's very kind of you to share the news. "Phenomenal" sounds good!
ReplyDeletePS: Y'all, I really do love lots of the other great singers that have been introduced to us on Idol, but I sure seem to get into trouble when I quote others who are talking about them!
ReplyDeleteI thought the quote about Elliott's contract was genuinely interesting and just wanted to share it--the break certainly sounded amicable. Obviously, there's a lot going on in Elliott's fandom and career that I am totally clueless about (it wouldn't be the only point of cluelessness in my world, believe me), and I'll stick to what's in the standard press from now on.
Many thanks to those who wrote, and I wish Elliott every success in the world--he's a wonderful singer and a great guy.
Winnie, I listened to that podcast interview, and it was great and so funny! Thank you for all you do to keep us informed!!
ReplyDeleteIcyfire, thank you so much for stopping in and for your kindness! Bucky is so much fun on the readio--I hope there are more podcasts in the works this week.
