By request, Bucky Covington takes a singing stroll in a still shot from his new music video, now available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can pre-order Bucky's debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace.Bucky's promo tour is on a brief hiatus--his official site lists a 3/7 date at Sam's Place in Wichita as his next confirmed event, but if you're in Nashville during the annual Country Radio Seminar, you're in luck. Bucky's listed as part of the 3/1 "Live from CRS 38" showcase at the Wildhorse Saloon, along with Emerson Drive, Donovan Chapman, Jerrod Niemann, Jamie Lee Thurston, Lantana, Rhonda Towns and Burrito Deluxe. CRS registrants are eligible for VIP seating upstairs, but there's also a $20 general admission ticket available. (That's a lot of fine music for $20!)
In the meantime, Bucky's all over TV and radio--"A Different World" is a sweet #35 (with a bullet) on the Radio & Records/BDS Country charts, and you can catch him on both GAC and CMT this weekend. The video for Bucky's new single will be aired at 2:05 or so tomorrow afternoon, and if you've been voting daily at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown page, there's a good chance you'll see him there, too! The show airs at 9 p.m. ET tonight, with several repeats in the next few days. Bucky will also be featured on this weekend's edition of CMT Insider--click here for showtimes.
Finally, a very important note about the WKML Radiothon for St. Jude's Children's Hospital; if you become a "Partner in Hope" today, you'll have the satisfaction of helping the children of St. Jude's, and you'll be eligible for two tickets to the "Big Hearts Bash" concert in Fayetteville on April 20th. Bucky and Dusty Drake will be the featured performers, and the show is limited to donors only. New job is still in negotiations--I am going to try to burn the candle at three ends for a while, I guess. We'll see how it works.
