Bucky Covington strikes a soulful note in this still from his new music video, now available at Yahoo Music .You can pre-order his debut CD at Amazon, Best Buy and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT, or enjoy samples of four songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace.
Bucky Covington, diarist? Yep, it's true--Bucky's just posted a diary entry at USA Today's Idol Chatter, and they're hoping to make it a regular Monday feature, according to Ken Barnes. Hurry over there now and read Bucky's funny take on his (and Rocky's) new house, enjoy a bit of background info on the upcoming CD (including "Between the Bible and the Belt", a title that had us all guessing this weekend) and so much more. A nice bonus for Bucky--and for USA Today, too. "The Bucky Diaries" also have a comment option! Register at USA Today and let Bucky know you're enjoying this fun glimpse into his world...
In other news, there's a lot going on this week. Bucky's promo tour starts up again tomorrow with a WUBE/WYGY American Idol viewing party in Cincinnati; as his official site notes, WXIX Fox 19 will be there for an interview, so be sure to bookmark the station's site for some upcoming video.
On Wednesday morning, Bucky will be interviewed on Columbus' WCOL. The station streams--log in early and join the party! Johnny DiLauretto of Fox 28 will be on hand to chat with Bucky, as well. Wednesday evening, you'll find him at a contest-winners-only Idol viewing party for WFMS in Indianapolis, and there's a video interview on WXIN Fox 59 planned.
And on Thursday, Bucky's in Kentucky...Louisville, to be exact, where he'll be interviewed on WAMZ, along with a planned video segment on WDRB Fox 41.
We'll try to fill in the airtimes and details as the information becomes available; suffice it to say for now that Bucky's got a full schedule ahead!
If you want to hear and see Bucky's new single, "A Different World", you've got a full schedule ahead, too. It'll air on GAC at about 7:30 this evening, and twice tomorrow. You can vote for it once a day on the GAC Top Twenty Country Countdown page as a write-in, and CMT's digital channel Pure Country already has it listed as a option on their Pure 12-Pack fan-voted countdown. Online viewing options include Yahoo Music, where "A Different World" made a splashy debut this past weekend. You'll soon be able to watch Bucky on CMT's Loaded, as well.
In another television note, GAC's latest press release confirms that Bucky's April 7th Opry performance will indeed be televised on Grand Ole Opry Live that night. Must-see TV!
Last, but absolutely not least, a new week means a new WKML "Top 5 at 6"; send them a quick request at country@wkml.com and let them know you're still loving Bucky on the nightly countdown.
There's a lot more to come, believe it or not--stay tuned!

Hi Chan! How are you?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about April yet, but there are a LOT of people from the Fox boards who are going to the March Opry show--I will try to add the link to that thread out front in a future post, but believe me, if you come you will have plenty of Bucky fans to hang out with--and we'd all love to meet you! :)
