The radio countdowns and challenges will be gearing up with the start of a new week tomorrow, but requests are a welcome bit of support any day of the year. A lot of new stations in new cities have begun to play Bucky's single this week--if you're fortunate enough to live in one of them, be sure to give your local DJ a kind word when you hear Bucky on the air! (And if you haven't heard him yet...request, y'all.)

Bucky will be very busy with radio himself in the coming month--the tour schedule at his official site tells the story. Those morning radio interviews in February are bound to be a hoot--so stock up on coffee and get ready for some early morning fun...

Of course, the big request story came during a radio interview Bucky did on Friday afternoon--the music video for "A Different World" is in the editing process even as we speak, and will make its debut in "two or three weeks" according to Bucky. Naturally, we can't wait to see it, and getting it played on GAC's Top 20 and CMT's Top Twenty Countdown will help make sure we see it a lot.

How do they work? GAC offers online voting; when Bucky's video is released, you'll simply be able to fill out a form for it and your other favorites. CMT's process is a little harder to determine, although they do have a "Pick or Flick" text-message voting challenge (at 99 cents per message) that Bucky's video will almost certainly be a part of once it's out.

For now, the best bet is to get familiar with the shows--just as being an actual listener gives us a better feel for how and when to request on radio, being an actual viewer of the countdowns and "Pick or Flick" shows will make us that much more adept when Bucky's beautiful video hits the airwaves.

More soon!
