E! News Online's characteristically snarky take on Bucky's press release can be found here--accompanied by what we're guessing is the
oldest performance photo of Bucky in the E! files. The text, however, gives Bucky props for musical consistency: "Covington showed his country rock chops on
Idol whenever he could last year, choosing to perform tunes such as Garth Brook's "Thunder Rolls," Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man," Tim McGraw's "Real Good Man" and Gary Allan's "Best I Ever Had" during his tenure on the show." Enjoy!
Snark away. Whether they love him or hate him, at least they know his name. :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Anon--
ReplyDeleteMy apologies for deleting your YouTube link! Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to link to any full length clips of the recorded single version of "Different World" at the moment--just part of the legalities of running a fan site. :(
Thanks anyway, though--it was a kind thought!
Honey, I agree. He's on the map and in the news...
And the funny thing is, I kind of got the idea that the E! Newser who wrote that won't be terribly surprised when there's an excellent Bucky Covington CD to review in a few months. Hmmmm... :)
thats OK. Im not sure how all this works. Am I alllowed to even have a copy of his song? I thought it would be OK since there were already videos of him singing Different World at the GAC concerts.
ReplyDeleteThey make the rules so complicated that no one is really sure how it all works! No worries at all--please check your MySpace messages in a few. :)
